First time trying. I was certainly satisfied with the food and service. I was the only one in the restaurant. My food came out hot and fresh. I had a 3 piece chicken wing and the shawarma wrap. The beef was very flavorful maybe a tad overcooked and the wings were super crispy with tender meat. I had to grab a lemonade on the way out. Won’t be my last time stopping in here. Only about a quarter mile from the square. Definitely a good spot to check out.

A disappointing lunch stop, and I wouldn’t return. While the restaurant was clean, the food was underwhelming. The lentil soup was the highlight—it was actually good. However, the chicken wings seemed like low-quality frozen wings, with more breading than meat and all flappers. They tasted as though they might have been microwaved. I ordered the beef shawarma on a salad but was served a combination of chicken and beef. The meat was chewy, lacking flavor, and didn’t taste fresh.

This was very first time here and eating Mediterranean/Egyptian food! They were very nice and gave me a sample of the chicken and beef shawarma. This really helped me decide on what I was getting because I had no clue about any of it. They were both very good and I liked the chicken more than beef so I decided on the checkin shawarma wrap with a mango drink and then grape leaves to share. A friend of mine got the lamb gyro and gave me a bite of the lamb to try since I’ve never had lamb. I really enjoyed the bite I had as it was very tender and moist! Everything was delicious and the food came quick. It’s a beautiful restaurant inside with friendly staff. They do have some American food for those that aren’t up to trying anything new. I highly recommend stopping in. I had such a wonderful experience I will eat here again!

Great little place nestled on the main drag.
Finally got a chance to stop in. We’ll be back. Very good, authentic cuisine, excellent service, quiet atmosphere.

I ordered a beef shawarma wrap with a side of rice. The food is very good and flavorful. Came with a generous portion of rice. The staff is very kind and the food came out quick. I definitely recommend checking this place out. I will be returning again in the future.

Excellent lentil soup and falafel (had other food here before but we come back for these two). Only downside is with the small eating area means the weather carries inside. Cold and windy outside means cold and windy inside no matter where you sit.

It was my first visit and I’d say I was quite impressed, particularly with the flavour.
The size also made it good value for the price.
I had lamb with rice, and Rosella to drink.
I didn’t take any picture because it wouldn’t represent the quality well enough.
It definitely is one of Carlisle’s great eateries.

I stopped in here for a quick lunch today while filming a Pros & Cons video on Carlisle for our YouTube channel. This was my first time eating at this establishment, and I was very impressed. I see it every time I drive past Hanover Street but never stopped in. Today I had Beef Kofta wrap with a side of Grape leaves. I would give it an A+. We received our food quick, and I love the decor outside as well as inside. The food is Mediterranean – Egyptian to be more specific. I would definitely come back again.

The lentil soup was satisfactory, although it lacked some depth of flavor. The beef shawarma was acceptable, but the meat was slightly overcooked. The salad was unremarkable. The hummus was mediocre at best. The decor is in need of renovation, as it appears to have been completed with limited financial resources.

While visiting Carlisle, my wife and I were looking for the right place to eat and found King Tut. The food was amazing, authentic, and delicious. Having lived in the Middle East for many years, this was like returning for lunch.. if you have not tried it, please do, you will not be disappointed.
