It checks all the boxes for a great dining experience. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. We have tried several dishes on the menu and they never disappoint. The rice is always fresh and fluffy and the dishes hot and flavorful.
We will occasionally order take-out but I highly recommend dining in! We always have a lovely time eating here in person. The atmosphere is calm and inviting – perfect for a date night.
Been here a few times and can enthusiastically recommend giving this place a try.
Hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. Just ask for mild spice if you’re not accustomed to hot food, because they’ll give you some serious heat if you ask for it.
I enjoyed the Kadhai spicy, while my dad had the Rogan Josh medium. We both enjoyed their Alu Tikki and their rice pudding.
Would recommend any fans of Indian cuisine or if your are looking to be adventurous!
We ordered shrimp pakora as an appetizer (around $18), and it tasted like frozen fried shrimp straight from Sam’s Club—re-fried and simply sprinkled with black salt.
We also ordered Gobi Manchurian and specifically asked whether it was dry or saucy. We were clearly told it was dry, yet it arrived smothered in a thick gravy.
Hoping the main dishes would redeem the meal, we ordered chicken tikka masala and rogan josh—both were huge disappointments. The chicken tikka masala bore no resemblance to the authentic dish in either flavor or preparation.
Wanting to give the restaurant one last chance, we ordered chicken hariyali kebabs. They were undercooked and extremely tough. Kebabs should be tender, and these were anything but.
Either the chef does not know how to prepare these dishes, or the kitchen simply does not care about quality or accuracy. We drove an hour and a half on a weekend for this meal, and it turned out to be a complete waste of both time and money.
Now you wouldn’t expect the presentation of the food to be so top tier being that from the outside it’s in a smaller strip mall with other shops having grab and go items. This is not the case. The presentation of the food was well thought out. The ambiance, lighting, temperature in the room, quietness of the guests, and comfort of the seating really had us feeling like we were home.
Now most important, the food. Chicken was so tender, easy to cut through with a butter knife, sizzling and PACKED with the right amount of flavor. The breads were very light and fluffy. Nothing was too spicy, more “spiced” then “spicy”. And the deserts were spectacular! The perfect size after a filling meal. Sweet but more of a “breakfast donut” sweet. You could almost taste the time it took to handcraft these deserts. Nothing tasted store bought , or artificially sweetened. Rakesh even brought us a desert on the house to sample for the table.
Very authentic Punjabi, I would add this to my regular dining restaurants list. Can’t wait to come back, hopefully we get Rakesh again!

What a wonderful neighborhood gem! Excellent food – the Karara Balti is something I’ll go back for. The paneer pakora is the best I’ve had – definitely order some mint chutney to go with it. All of our food was fresh, hot, spiced perfectly and plentiful. The owners are very welcoming and warm. This restaurant is a family run business with a location in Dallas and Minneapolis. It’s located in the old Chef Bob’s Lobster Trap; they’re expecting their new sign to be up soon. If you want a warm and happy belly you should visit them!
