We picked this place at random given how many great Japanese food options were in the area. Several were closed on Monday and others didn’t have what our group of 8 wanted to eat. I made the online order of a number of meals (mostly the salmon saba) and crossed my fingers that everything would be there and good.
The order was ready for pickup surprisingly quickly and we drove over and grabbed everything and brought it back to the hotel. I was happy to see everything was there and all the entrees looked amazing.
The salmon and chicken were big hits and we would gladly reorder those in the future. Tempura was also excellent as well as the edamame appetizer and chicken kaarage. The sushi and sashimi were of very good quality but if I had a complaint it was that the sushi rice was a bit too vinegary for my taste. Not bad, but definitely didn’t add to the flavor.
Staff seemed friendly and there was plenty of parking. Unfortunately the group dug in before I had a chance to take some photos. Overall highly recommended.

This place is great, words can’t describe how satisfied I am with this little spot, I’ve always been big on food presentation, my goodness! The chefs here really do take pride in their artistry, the portions and size of the rolls are abundant, the taste out of this world with the sauces perfectly being paired up with the entree served, they have a plethora of sushi roll combinations and to top it off they offer complimentary ice cream for dessert. A must to visit this spot, guaranteed to become a regular, it has for me.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fish at Kiku Sushi. I ordered their Umi Combo Dinner which consisted of 10 assorted pieces. All of the pieces were fresh and delicious. My wife ordered a 3 item bento, but found the salmon teriyaki to be a bit overcooked.
Service was attentive and friendly. I would definitely go back for their sashimi.

Food is good and consistent with what you expect from this level of restaurant. Prices shot up after COVID, but I guess restaurants just started to price gouge. Still going to keep supporting them though since they’re local.

It is pricy when compared to the portion of food served. For an adult man, I don’t recommend ordering Chilashi Deluxe. You will feel hungry after you walk out. Lol

I am staying at a hotel near by and found this place to walk over to grab a bite. What a gem of a place!! I ordered their specials on the menu and it was absolutely delightful. I am not the best picture taker but I took a picture of some of the things I ordered and added it here. Wow! The taste was phenomenal. Come see and taste it for yourself and you will love it! The service here was awesome as well. Come by and you be the judge. 🙂

One of my favorite sushi places in the Monrovia area. Everything tasted fresh.
I got the bento box, with mackerel and sashimi. The portions were pretty big, so I was really happy about that.
The hot green tea was refillable, I think they make it fresh, it’s a genmai cha I believe, it even has some roasted rice floating about.

My husband said best sushi rolls he has ever had and way cheaper too than the Sushi restaurant we frequent back home. I have never had Teriyaki Beef that delicious before. The price included it, soup, and a salad. All the establishments back home are soup or salad, definitely not both! Can you come to NC lol?

So my experience was awful. But my family didn’t seem to have an issue. They ordered a few different rolls and they were amazing. The Philadelphia, the California and a couple others that I can not remember, but they were incredible! Unfortunately my daughters child Chicken teriyaki tasted like fish and my Katsu chicken curry was still raw. Now they did offer to redo it but my stomach couldn’t handle looking at food after that. Their bathroom was also smelly (didn’t help my stomach) and needed to be wiped down. We ended up paying for everything no discount, I’m sorry or even having the 2 meals taken off. Will not be returning sorry guys.

I absolutely love this place me and my mom come here almost every month to have a girls night and it’s perfect. Food is delicious the service is amazing and the atmosphere is lovely. No complaints here you need to try it!!
