I ordered jollof rice, plantain, beef and meat pie. This was my first visit to the restaurant despite driving by it for 15 years. Rice was cool. Spicy n cool. Not much meat came with huge plate of rice. Plantain was flavorful and meat pie was ok. Food wasn’t bad but it’s not somewhere I’d eat often. Dishes were actually fresh.
Restaurant seemed outdated and a bit sloppy/unorganized. Right behind cashier and in total view was a non working cooker/warmer, 50lb bags of rice in lobby and hanging cabinet doors.

All meats were very overcooked. The goat was very very dry… Ordered the goat and jollof rice and received 1 piece of meat for the entire plate. The meat pies were seasoned well but doughy. The fish was very good

I’ve been going here for almost 2 years now. This last time was disappointing. My meat pies were cold, first time ever. And the portion of the egusi was just unacceptable. The prices are decent. The portions just seem to get smaller and smaller. This time it was more sauce than egusi. I’m not asking for Texas size portions for $12 but give me more than just a big spoon full smh.

Everything tasted delicious and the lady was super nice. I’ll definitely come back to try the pepper soup. I got fried rice, jollof rice with stew, goat, fish, and beef. Side of vegetable, egusi and stew.

It is absolutely one of the best African restaurants that I have gone to in quite some time. The food was fresh, and the service was great. I highly recommend them!

This place has great food. Watch out for lots of small bones in the fish. The beef patties were my favorite. The service left a lot to be be desired though. The guy taking orders didn’t acknowledge us when we entered and we were standing waiting for a while before he came to tell us we could have a seat anywhere. His demeanor that day was dry but we all have off days. The lady from the back was very polite & made us feel welcome.

I ordered fufu with egusi soup and goat meat. It was so delicious and full of flavor, authentic African food. I loved it. The inside was so messy so I don’t think anyone dines in but I don’t know, I just picked up my food.

Great food.
I think we can improve on the stew. I’ve had white rice and stew one too many times, and it needs a better taste. Also, the stew is always so little.
Every other food is great.
