The food overall is of good quality and has a good flavor profile. On my last visit, I ordered a cauliflower crust pizza with hot wing topping. The cauliflower crust was by far the best I have ever had. It was soft and chewy. I mentioned to the waitress that I didn’t believe it was cauliflower crust. She confirmed it.

I ordered a small pizza and was told it will take 10 minutes. I sat there the whole time which turned out to be 45 minutes later! While waiting for 20 minutes, the young lady that took my order told me the cook was out back and he was just seeing my order. I’ve seen people come in, dine in, then leave twice while waiting. I asked the lady that took my order if I could get composited some wings for my time and she said, ok. Then an older lady came from the back with a nasty attitude told me that they didn’t have any room in the oven so I had to wait and it’s not their fault and NO, I won’t be compensated with anything because they make their pizza fresh and so I had to wait. I respectfully told her thank you, took my pizza, and walked out. I will not be going there again! I have no complaints about the pizza, customer service needs work!

This place is absolutely bananas… in the most wonderful ways! We walked in and found the cutest little girl standing behind the host station. I assumed she was waiting for her parents or something. Then we discovered that she was, in fact, our hostess. She very formally and professionally led us around to our table and took our drinks order (non-alcoholic of course) then wished us a pleasant dining experience. I was surprised and delighted. Their pizza is the best pizza I’ve had in a long time, and believe me that’s saying something; I’ve been searching. Charming family-run place. Definitely worth a visit!

Unfortunately it’s sad to say but I got food poisoning in there from the shrimp scampi. ER confirmed. And it’s a shame as my husband said it was the best restaurant around but the shrimp had gone bad. Broccoli was as well.

I grew up at this place- I actually lived just a couple blocks away, and was here when they first opened (next to western auto and the .05 & .10…). The pizza is still great- not the best in scranton but still awesome ny style pizza. The help could use some customer service training- I asked about Pasta to go at 8:12, they close at 9, they said the kitchen closed for all but pizza and cold subs at 8:10… but the people who came in behind me for table service were able to put in an order of wings simply because a manager overheard them and said “lemme check… and then yeah, we can do that. ” Gotta reflect upon how that looks to me, that my server holds the line at 10 minutes over, but the other person did the right thing by checking. It was bittersweet, visiting a haunt from over 40 (or more) years ago to feel like one kids attitude could blow the experience.
