We’ve been to pretty much every sushi place in the Carson-Tahoe area and can confidently say this is the best one! The salmon is always buttery soft, and the way they season their rice is perfect! We always drive all the way down here from Tahoe when we are craving AYCE sushi

We have been here at least 4 times. Everytime the sushi is fresh and mostly comes out quickly. We get the all you can eat. Its only $35 dollars per person . Not many seats in restaurant.

I was not expecting this quality of food when I walked in inside this restaurant. It’s kinda in the middle back end of Carson City in the middle of nowhere. I’ve had sushi all throughout Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington and this is by far one of the best little surprises. I found everything I had was amazing 10 out of 10 do you recommend!!

My all time favorite sushi restaurant in Northern Nevada. My favorite roll is the Lily Roll. Big portions for typical sushi prices. Don’t miss the opportunity to eat here if you haven’t yet!

To be perfectly honest, I’ve had better sushi.
This was as good as I believe it could be for Carson. (I have high standards though..sorry)
The price was pretty cheap for all you can eat.
The variety is vast.
And the service is pretty great.
If you’re in the area, I definitely recommend

Outstanding all-you-can-eat sushi! Innovative menu, high-quality, and generous fish-to-rice ratio. Everything was delicious!
Also, the dining room is cozy and the sushi bar is comfortable.
Hat tip to Noah, our sushi chef, for his excellent “dealer’s choice” selections. Bonus; this is a woman minority owned and operated business. A+

I’ve been to this restaurant before and had a great experience, but after this last visit I will never be going back. We came in as a party of 7 around 7:50. I understand they have a sign on the door that says last seating is at 8:30, so we thought we were well within their hours. At first, they said they couldn’t accommodate all 7 of us, so we offered to split into two smaller groups, which they agreed to. About 5 minutes later, the hostess came back and told us that because the cooks were upset, they would need to charge a 20% gratuity AND still seat us separately.
I always tip generously and have no problem doing so for good service, but forcing a gratuity when we’re essentially being treated as two different parties just feels unfair. It’s really upsetting because I used to enjoy this place, but after this experience, I won’t be returning.

This is really one of the very few sushi restaurants in the area that offer egg rolls in the appetizers list. They were absolutely delicious and surprisingly savory. I enjoyed their version of upside down shrimp tempura. It was lightly fried so I didn’t feel like I was sinning too badly. They also have an impressive drink menu including some very interesting cocktails. A majority of the rolls I tried were pretty good, but nothing extraordinary. The service was a little spotty, but I’ll give them a pass since one person seemed to be new.

I don’t like being mean in my reviews BUT GOD IS THE FOOD HORRIBLE! I got a California roll for my first roll, the cucumbers were basically the whole roll, they were very small rolls. DO NOT GET THE MIAMI DESSERT ROLL! It tasted like dirt. The only good roll there was the volcano. Me and my mom puked afterwards. it was so gross

Awful service from both the host and the sous chef.
We drove 50 minutes to eat here from South Lake Tahoe and when we asked for a table for 7 at 7:50pm, the host said none were available for our size at the time. We noticed two open tables and let her know we didn’t mind splitting up. She told us yes she can do that and it would be a 15-minute wait, which was more than fine. Just a couple of minutes later, she came back out saying the sous chef was upset and that they would now require a mandatory 20% tip per person for “accommodating us.”
Tipping is not an issue — but there were no accommodations being made. We weren’t even going to be sitting at the same table!
It honestly felt like Kei Sushi just didn’t want us there, even though they didn’t close until 9pm. Hearing that the chef was “mad” about having to serve guests sealed the deal for us and we will never be coming back.
Luckily we found our new favorite sushi spot just 7 minutes away called oishi
