We last minute decided to check this place out in Foley AL. It was a great choice!
You order at the register and the people
Can’t be more pleased and helpful. Smiles and patience. And a plus!!! They REALLY KNOW THE MENU.
The manager and assistant manage will stop by to make sure you are happy. But more than that… they hustle. Thy don’t yell at their employees to do something…They the managers actually do something. They pitch in when it is Crazy busy. Even when it isn’t. You would be hard pressed to say who is the manager because they all work hard.
At the time of this post we have been here now two times and it was again BUSY. But you would not know it. The line moved fast. They deliver the food to the table with a smile and quickly. And don’t forget dessert the lemon pie was very good!! The cashiers love the banana pudding !!
We didn’t realize it is a chain. As it has the pride of an individually owned restaurant

This place was SO good when they first opened. Sadly, the quality and service have quickly gone downhill. I have door-dashed a few times this year and every time I’m more disappointed. One time they didn’t even give me my meal- a whole smoked chicken salad. I called and spoke with the manager but never got my order reimbursed bc I havent been in the restaurant. Today this is what I received. Salad is… lettuce. Granted I said no bacon or tomatoes. Chicken plate is… well minimal. Tired of my order being wrong and being disappointed. I won’t be eating here anymore.

Saturday night dinner. I ordered Mr. Jim’s Combo Plate the 3 meat. I got pulled pork, pulled chicken and spare ribs with collard greens and onion rings on the side. The bark and smokiness of the ribs were really good, but they were just a tad tough but good. The chicken was super tender and good, but were almost room temperature. The pulled pork was good and had that same smoky flavor. Service was excellent and very quick. I would have given this place 5 stars if the things I pointed out were improved. I will have try it again in the future to see if I get different results. However, great dining experience and I would recommend them.

Upon entry, the facility was extremely clean and the employees gave recognition with a smile. We were new to the restaurant, so we took a few moments to decide what we would order. Once we had decided, the girl at the register was courteous and eager to assist us with placing our order.
We made our drinks and chose a seat, and our food came fresh, hot, and right away. Oh My Goodness!! The food was AMAZING!! My husband and I agreed that the flavor was amazing, the serving size was like having a feast before us, and we were pleased to have takeout boxes for another meal.
We were pleased with our first visit to Jim & Nick’s and look forward to going back.

I absolutely love this Jim ’N Nick’s Bar-B-Q in Foley—especially the drive-through, which makes it incredibly convenient. I’m new to Foley, and this has quickly become my go-to barbecue spot.
I don’t mind spending a little extra here because the food is exceptional. I usually order the pork plate with baked beans and potato salad, and last night’s dinner did not disappoint at all. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for from good barbecue.
The restaurant also looks brand new and has a great atmosphere. Between the quality of the food, the convenience, and the overall experience, this place consistently delivers. Highly recommend.

We are regulars because the food is phenomenal and the service is spectacular! Of note, the restaurant is very clean and tidy. We have eaten everything on the menu and have not been disappointed yet. If you haven’t been to Jim ‘N Nick‘s barbecue, then you are missing out and you need to go immediately!

We placed a to-go order recently and we enjoyed it. They have a lot of options for meat lovers. The turkey was tender and juicy. The jalapeño cheddar sausage had just the right amount of spice. The Carolina pulled pork was tasty. I tried the vinegar option. The brisket was a little dry for my liking but I am spoiled living in north Texas. The cheddar biscuits were delicious. Check them out!

First time in. Food was decent margaritas, not so much. The deviled eggs were delicious. My parents ordered fried catfish and were satisfied. I had the 6 piece wings with the white sauce. They were pretty good. I really wanted to try the brisket, but they were out. I’ll make another trip to taste the brisket. I’ll make another updated review then.

First timers, we are generally pretty skeptical on what look like fast food joints. This time pleasantly surprised. First very clean, little cheese biscuits. Ordered the smoked turkey sandwich for my wife, hard to please sometimes lol she loved it, more meat than bread and great flavor. Me 6 wings, smoked probably the best wings I’ve had in good bit. Coleslaw very good, baked beans really good. All in all total value for the money. Will return without question. Service time was very good as well. Thanks Chris for taking the time to see us at our table so we could share our compliments.
