On 8/22, we visited the Kennel Club Steakhouse. We’ve been going every Tuesday evening for the past 3 weeks or so. Prior to that, it was more like every month. My permanent residence is in Texas. My fiancé lives in Batesville, Mississippi. On this particular visit, we decided on Shrimp Alfredo and I ordered Shrimp & Grits. We also had the shrimp appetizer and a salad. Unfortunately, the Alfredo sauce was like water on both entrees. We kindly asked if we could have it fixed. She took our food to the kitchen for approximately 15/20 minutes. The waitress came out and said she was NOT able to fix the sauce or replace the meal, and we either needed to leave or she would bring it back out and we were to eat it. So, here we’re our choices. 1. Eat the food the way it was brought out the first time or LEAVE in just that order, AND on top of all that we were to pay for it. Let me ADD, WE NEVER REFUSED TO PAY FOR OUR FOOD. We felt so sorry for the young waitress. She was just the messenger. Apparently, Katy is in charge of the restaurant. I can’t call her a manager because she is far from qualified from being a manager. Katy came to our table. Was extremely UGLY TO US. She told us to leave. We packed up our dinner to go and left. As we were walking out, we were approached by several waitresses that said she was HORRIBLE!!!! We planned on reaching out to the owners, but we’re told it would NOT do any good. Katy treated us like we were second class citizens. We are far from that. When our generation dies out, the next generation is in serious trouble. Such sad times in this world. We will report this to the Better Business Bureau. Let me tell you, I’ve ate at $400-$500 steak houses. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had in my LIFE. Katy, I know you’ll read this. DO BETTER!!! A little kindness goes a long ways. This could have been solved with a simple resolution. What does Alfredo cost? $10? We paid $70 for our meal and left very unhappy. She talks down to people. She has A LOT to learn in life. As we were leaving, she was peaking out the window. THIS WAS a very EVIL person. Her staff feels the same way. I’m appalled that owners would allow this behavior in their restaurant.

Blackened Bourbon Street Redfish… good flavor,but way overcooked… The potential is there… the local Chillies had a shockingly impressive salmon cooked to perfection. Quite disappointing. Bread was dry and far from fresh, no butter, and particularly for a busy Tuesday.

The food was good, but my Broiled Stuffed Flounder was swimming with too much butter, which made it a little soggy. The Wedge Salad, Onion Rings, Baked Potato, Crab Cakes, and Blackened Redfield were all excellent. The rolls were warm and delicious as well. Our waitress provided the best service I have had in some time. She was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to offer advice when picking between dishes. She was also very helpful when choosing a dessert to make sure we got one we liked. We chose the Pineapple Cake and it was delicious. A little heavy on the icing, but can’t really complain about that. Pricing was pretty reasonable for a steakhouse with good food. We will be going back here.

From the atmosphere, with excellent, attentive service, to the most delicious, high quality level of ingredients, KC in Batesville, Mississippi is always 100% on my rating list. The background selection of music is an added bonus! This family-owned restaurant knows exactly how to treat their customers & how to prepare superb food! You will definitely enjoy your dining experience!

The steak was tough and so over seasoned I couldn’t eat it. I basically had a salad and potato for my birthday. The crab claws were so fishy it was nasty! Save your money cause 125 bucks will get you a better steak somewhere else

This was my first visit to KC Steakhouse and Seafood. My family and I arrived just at opening (4pm). We were promptly seated and our waitress greeted us and took our drink and appetizer order. We ordered our main course shortly thereafter which took a bit to receive (~45 minutes). The food was quality, it was fresh, however it was not as hot as one would think Seafood should be.

I loved the atmosphere! and the food was great and so was our waitress. I had the philly cheese po boy and it was very good. the fries though were some of the top fries I have ever had, they were cooked perfectly! I will be back!

They weren’t that busy. Just not interested in a couple vs 2 tables of five. Wife’s NY Steak was cooked perfectly just not very flavorful. My cajun catfish was flaky and good size but again not a whole lot of flavor. Only thing not bland about this place was the decoration and overall vibe.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had!! Originally being from a much-larger city, I had accepted that great restaurants were in my past when I moved to this area, but I was happily mistaken!! This restaurant had everything I had been missing for a long time!! Our waitress Carly was amazing!! Not only was our food out quicker than I expected, but my drink never got below half-full, which is my own little test of a restaurant’s service. The atmosphere was opulent yet lively, and I still can’t figure out how they keep it looking like it just opened. The whole experience left such an impression on me that I haven’t mentioned the food yet, which was a 10 out of 10. I went with the Crab Stuffed Filet Mignon with Wild Mushroom Sauce, but everything else looked amazing as well. I’d give them 6 stars if I could, which I’ve only said one other time in another review. And don’t forget to ask for Carly!!
