We’re bringing Korean BBQ – to your bowl. Cupbop serves Korean BBQ in a cup. Bob (밥) means “steamed rice” in Korean so Cupbob simply means “steamed rice in a cup.” Adding our specialty sauces and twists to authentic Korean recipes, we have created a new style of Korean food. Our menus are simple & tasty, and every main menu includes rice, cabbage, sweet potato noodles, a protein of choice, topped by our specialty sauces ranging from 1-10 spicy levels.

There are two self ordering kiosks inside. One by the entrance which has the full menu of Little boba and a few options of Cupbob. As you walk in, you will see the other ordering kiosk which has the complete Cupbob menu and a few milt tea and other drink options. Both kiosks are card only. If you prefer to pay with cash or need assistance ordering, you can walk up to the ordering counter upfront.
Should definitely try the honeydew milk tea. They have different milk alternatives for folks with dietary restrictions. They also have wide varieties of jellies and bobas to go with the drink. I personally like the mango jelly and coffee jelly. Staff are always polite and helpful. Service is always top notch and quick for the drinks. Might face a delay with the food if you don’t order ahead though since there always seems to be a continuous influx of online orders coming in.
They have limited indoor seating and limited parking. You can try parking across the street if in a pinch.
Ordered, picked up, drove 20 min to get home, only to find out they gave me someone else’s order. I had to drive 20 min back again, just to switch back the order, which my food is now cold. Not an experience you want for a late night snack, and driving 40 min for pointless mistake. The owner needs to train their staff better.
We made the trip out to this spot since I’ve been looking for a cupbob spot in our area for some time.
Parking’s also tough to find next to the store so you might want to plan accordingly for take out.
Hope we see more of these kind of spots in the area but maybe with more transparency in the menu
I had placed two separate orders under different names, and when I arrived to pick them up, I specifically asked if both were under my name. Shana said yes. However, when I got home, only one order was in the bag.
I called back and explained the situation. At first, she apologized and said she would process a full refund. I asked if the missing food could be delivered since it was not my fault—but she refused. She then offered store credit, so I asked how much it would be. At that point, she snapped, “I’m not deaf,” and repeatedly said “Have a good night” before hanging up on me.
That interaction was incredibly disrespectful and completely unprofessional. I’m shocked that someone who speaks to customers this way is representing the business, let alone claiming to be a manager. I left the restaurant feeling disrespected and frustrated, and I won’t be returning.
My husband and I placed two separate orders, one under my name and one under his. When he went to pick them up, he asked the staff member Shana if both orders were included. She said yes. But when he got home, my entire order was missing.
I was very upset and called the restaurant to explain the situation. Shana initially apologized and said she would issue a full refund. I then asked if the missing order could be delivered since the mistake was on their end. She refused and said delivery wasn’t possible.
She then offered store credit. When I asked how much the credit would be, she rudely said “Have a good night” twice and then hung up on me.
This kind of behavior from someone claiming to be the manager is completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. I didn’t receive the food I paid for, I wasn’t offered a fair resolution, and I was treated with rudeness and disregard.
I am very dissatisfied and disappointed. I will not be ordering from here again.
I had the chicken sandwich with sweet Korean sauce and fries and it was DELICIOUS! Thank you to the owner for putting real sweet sauce on the menu!!!
**update 7/24/22**
They had an air conditioner running at the front and it felt nice and cool as I waited for my fresh churros! It was around 100 degrees outside today! The churros are delicious!!
This is a great little Korean Chicken place in Bergenfield. Its technically 3 restaurants in 1 spot. So you could get some nice chicken, a Korean BBQ cup, ice cream and bubble tea all in 1 trip!
My only major suggestion to the owner/management: please offer a sweet sauce flavoring for the chicken. I know you have a sweet and spicy. But i am asking for just a sweet sauce without the spicy. Two years ago, Bon-chon had Sweet Crunch flavor and that was so addictingly delicious! But they dont sell it anymore. If you could replicate that or mimic it, i would be getting your chicken every day and getting all my friends to buy it too! From my flavor memory, it was a savory sauce with honey and maybe some other sweetness like brown sugar or something.
Back to my review.. Chick N Chick is small but nice and cozy. They have a long hard wood slab table along the left side windows with 3 chairs to sit at.
Outside they have 5 small tables with 2 seats each and 3 nice umbrellas between them.
There is a clean restroom in the back.
You can order inside and wait for your food.
The parking lot is very small with only 2 slots dedicated for customers. No fault to the owner. This was just poor architecture design 50 or a hundred years ago when they originally built this building on such a tiny lot with the main entrance flush with the sidewalk instead of setting the building back a few hundred feet and putting a row of parking first(this is a common problem in the entire downtown of bergenfield). But there is a quick fix if those 2 slots are full… there is a PNC bank next door with a huge parking lot.. also there is some street parking near there, and for those who cant find either, there is a huge strip mall across the street with plenty of free parking and you get a little excercise too.
The food is delicious. I enjoyed the crunchy and yummy chicken. The fries were also nice and tasty, crinkle cut with crunchy outside and soft inside. The service is super friendly! Cook times are reasonable since this ia fresh food, cooked to order and not already-been-cooked fast-food. Prices are reasonable with this insane hyper inflation hurting everyone nowadays. Clean indoors and outside too. I love the decorations with the custom hand painted murals on 2 walls and some on the ceiling as well. Its themed from Alice in Wonderland with the big cat on 1 wall and various characters and objects scattered around. Well worth a visit to this place since it is so nice and cozy and nearby. I will be returning soon! They do have churros on the dessert side and i will be trying them on my next visit!
Pros:
*Delicious Korean fried chicken. Equal or better than Bon-Chon now that BC stopped selling the yummy sweet crunch flavor.
*Very friendly employees
*Fast service to place an order
*Reasonable 20 min wait time for fresh cooked to order food.
*Clean inside and outside
*Reasonable prices during these insane hyper inflation times.
*Fun package design. I like the color choice, logo, mascot, and background art! Way better than the plain white bonchon box.
*free parking
*very nice decorations with hand painted murals
*fun outdoor seating
Cons:
Only 2 dedicated parking spaces. No fault to the owner. Just poor building design from 100 years ago. But there is plenty of free parking nearby.
Side note, not a con: i disliked the music choice while i was there. But its probably just me. Younger kids probably love it. Im more of a 70’s 80’s guy music-wise. But its ok. Im just there to get my food, so i didnt mind too much. I think that day they were playing a mix of modern stuff with some 90s. But its fine.
