Went here very early in the morning before setting out on a hiking day. There was no wait at this time. The ube Masada was excellent – had a great subtle sweet flavor and lots of cream (got kind of messy because of this but I didn’t mind). Coffee was just alright. The baked goods are what to get here.

We tried out many of the different malasadas and really enjoyed them all! The ube (the purple one) was my favorite and I would say is a must try! I also tried the macadamia nut latte – really good but definitely a sweeter coffee drink. We were able to stop by when there was no line but we unfortunately did feel rushed by the staff. Besides that, we had a great experience!

I bought these during my vacation and brought them back to North Carolina. Even after three days, they still taste great and have a good texture. I always buy their malasadas whenever I visit Kauai. Their customer service is excellent — everyone is friendly, smiling, and very helpful to guests.

We were looking for some malasadas and found kauai bakery. We went on a Tuesday morning and there was no line. We got 8 malasadas and 2 manapuas. The ham and cheese manapua was good, but the pizza one was better. For the malasadas we got oreo, nutella, ube, lilioki, pumpkin spice, haupia, guava, and mango. They were all generously filled to the brim and fresh. The best ones were the pumpkin spice, lilioki and Nutella. The rest were good just not as strong of flavors. They had other unique pastries we didnt try but looked fantastic. Definitely check this place out for unique malasada flavors!

arrived at this bakery within a shopping plaza for the malasada with cinnamon sugar and the chiffon cake with guava and I would have to say tamalasada is similar to what you would imagine. a donut is like and fresh, but the chiffon cake is the one that stole the show because the guava syrup it comes with is surprisingly refreshing and it reminds me of a really good wedding cake

These were the best malasadas I’ve ever had!! My favorite was the ube. The lilikoi chiffon was amazing as well. The were light and airy with the perfect amount of filling. We had samples of their mochi brownies and they were fantastic!! Hit this place up and head to Lydgate beach for a sunrise. You won’t be disappointed

Cream cheese cinnamon sugar pastry. Don’t need to say much more. Tasted like a sopapilla cheesecake.

It was raining when we stopped by, and there was no seating available. Although they had plenty of malasadas, they tasted slightly stale for the morning. The dough itself was decent, but the ube and guava fillings weren’t as flavorful or as generous as those at Passion Bakery Cafe.

7.5/10
– guava malasada: 7/10
– plain malasada: 8/10
an employee recommended the guava malasada but it kinda disappointed 🙁 the guava filling tasted very artificial
the plain malasada was solid! wouldn’t say it’s the best i’ve ever had but if it was hot & fresh maybe it would’ve been

I brought my parents here to try their malasadas based on the good reviews. We tried the mango and passionfruit malasadas and they were okay. I have tried better quality where they are warm and fresh. Not sure if I would recommend or return again.
