The paneer was soft, fresh, and perfectly spiced, and the chaat was vibrant and tangy with layers of texture that instantly woke up the palate. The chilli garlic naan was irresistible — soft, fluffy, and packed with just the right amount of garlic and heat.
The homemade fish curry was divine — deeply comforting and soulful, tasting like something cooked with real love. And the masala chai brought back so many childhood memories, warm and nostalgic in the best way.
We were wonderfully looked after by Govinda, whose friendly and attentive service made the whole experience even more special. Thoughtful food, warm hospitality, and genuinely memorable flavours. I’ll absolutely be back.
The decor and interior of the restaurant is nice. Everything has a golden edge to it, like a raj palace. The chairs were comfortable and the table sturdy.
While we waited we ordered the popadom. I like that they were served pre crushed up. The mango chutney was my favourite. Had a good strong kick of spice.
Then we had just finished our starter when the mains arrived. Very fast service here. Which I dislike as I don’t want to be rushed.
The chicken korma had no sweetness to it, none of that coconut flavour. Ditto my “coconut” rice which didn’t have any of that flavour. The best thing was the Peshwari naan, which tasted how it should.
For mains we had Chicken Biryani, Marwari Bhindi and Fauji Canteen Goat Curry. The biryani was lovely. The Goat Curry was nice but chewy. I would have cooked it for longer but overall, not bad at all. The Bhindi was a little salty for me but again I enjoyed it overall. They provided raita with the biryani but it was too salty so we left it. Overall a nice dining experience as the staff were very friendly and accommodating as we didn’t have a booking.
Chicken korma was good. Pashwari nan was much smaller than expected.
Sizzling chocolate brownie was small. Nice evening though.
The food was excellent—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Every dish we tried was delicious. The service was decent and overall satisfactory.
The only thing that stood out to us was one of the starters, the Beetroot Croquettes. While they were tasty, we felt they were a bit overpriced. We received three small croquettes for nearly £9, which felt a little steep.
Aside from that one point, the overall experience was very enjoyable. If you’re craving Indian food while in Bath, this place is definitely worth a visit. Everything else was fabulous!
Food was amazing and delicious, fresh, good spice level not bland at all, naan bread so fresh and yummy. Lamb was a bit hard to chew.
