Being one of the first people to try Katsu Kart was a honor, the food not being your TYPICAL American craving will still find its way to become one of your weekly favorites while touring or living in the city of Charlotte. Quality and consistency is key and Katsu Kart has found a way to minimize their menu but have loads of flavor in every bite of your meal. The Veggie being my personal favorite never disappoints me. Staff and management are super friendly as well, overall I’d say for a locally owned food truck pushing out something you don’t get a chance to try often they deserve 5 stars all the way ! Will be returning for this jaw dropping, mouth watering, flavor busting yummy-ness very soon. Thank you Katsu Kart!!

I bought this chicken sandwhich on 08/20/21, before even taking a bite I noticed the chicken was pink. I tried to return it, but the owner instead of replacing it, he argued with me that it was “pink because of the sauce.” Not wanting to waste food I had paid for and trusting the cook, I believed him and proceeded to eat it, and I ended up with food poisoning for 2 days. I talked to other people and they had the same issue. I will be talking to my lawyer this week.

I feel a bit impartial tbh. I expected the spicy katsu to be spicy… but not so much so that I couldn’t eat the sandwich. It was just too much. For me it was like getting the same heat as a 4 of 5 spice level at a ramen place.

This place is awesome!! First discovered this place at Matthews farmers market 2 weeks ago, went back today and got more. I love the karai katsu, it’s spicy, savory and satisfying, the mala spice is on point! The owner is awesome too, we’ll be back 🙂

Mostly hype. Was excited to try this but it’s just a bland, fried piece of meat in a sandwich. Don’t be scared of the salt and pepper. I’ll just stick with making this home to save $14.

A friend of mine recommended this food truck to me and I was super excited to try because i love a good sandwich. I will say i was very impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the way the flavors went so well together. Not to mention the staff was so friendly. This is a must try if you’re in the Charlotte area!
