We used to enjoy going here when it was China Gold for takeout and disappointed when it closed. However, Kais has great Chinese food and pretty reasonable prices. We went today for lunch. The Orange Chicken was fantastic and the Kung Pao Chicken seemed a little bland at first, but the spiciness creeps up on You. Both with yummy pork Pried Rice and Crab Rangoons. We also got Sweet and Sour Chicken with Pork Fried Rice and much better than expected Egg Roll.. The chicken reminded Me more of Chicken Fingers, but tasty on it’s own and better with the sauces they provide. Nice big servings-give them a try.

We have been up here since 2018 and have bounced between numerous Chinese restaurants. Last year I even ventured to the WMUR’s best of people’s choice in Wakefield. All have been very disappointing! Probably the only thing I liked about living in Massachusetts was the quality of the Chinese food. Kai’s Kitchen has met that quality 100%! Everything we ordered was fantastic. We ordered New Year’s Eve which, in itself can be precarious but, not so here! I placed my order the day before and set my pick up for 1630hrs. I was 10m late expecting to have a small wait but not so. My food was hot and ready when I arrived! Thank you so much! Looking forward to ordering again!!

Ordered our usual on Christmas night (tonight!) they said it would be an hour, already a fantastic time for Christmas. The lovely lady called and said it was ready 20 minutes early! It was fast, hot and perfect!

While noted as a takeout restaurant, Kai’s Kitchen has a quaint yet spacious dining area providing a comfortable, pleasant dining experience.
Whether you eat in or take out, the food remains the same— delicious!

1st. Time going there and the food was delicious and staff was very nice and helpful. Prices are reasonable. No waiting. They have you in and out. You can pay with cash or card. I recommend calling your order in so it will be ready when you get there. It does cost extra for more sweet and sour sauce or duck sauce I found out.

It’s rear to find homemade egg rolls still at Chinese restaurants . Love their homemade duck sauce.

Excellent food and huge portions. My Gen Tso’s chicken and rice was three meals. I’d order from them again. I ordered that same thing tonight, 11/1 and the chicken was rubbery, like chewing rubber bands. It upset my stomach.

Well, the food is edible…if you have no allergies.
We stated no carrots and no onions; our food came with onions and carrots.
We asked for hot tea….and then had to ask again after watching people order and receive their to go meals…after we had ordered.
On the flip side, friendly owner, not so friendly employee. So, I think I am going to stick with May’s Garden

We ordered food 8/22/25 and I don’t know if they were rushed or have something going on. But it was absolutely not good. We ordered a diversified order including pupu for 2 and much more nothing was good sorry I heard good things about you but my order of over 70 dollars nothing was even close to good. Side note my wife asked for 2 extra hot mustard, which only contains a quarter of a once. Was told 1.50 each extra. But in their defense one came out and said no free!!!

My husband and I just moved to the area and have tried a few other chinese restaurants in the area as well. This place was the best. The pork lo mein was flavorful and did not skip out on the veggies or pork. The egg roll was hot and crispy and actually had more of a filling than just cabbage. He got the general tso chicken and he liked it a lot. I got the sweet and sour chicken. The sauce was phenomenal, but the breading on the chicken was thicker and more pancake like than I expected/preferred. The crab rangoons and pork fried rice were not our favorite for the area, but they were still fine. Overall 4.5/5 stars. We will definitely order again.
