Went here because Matsumoto had such a long line and it was truly the best decision ever made! This has to be the best one around the islands and we tried many shave ice places in Oahu,Maui and Kauai. The way their ice is perfectly snow-like and soft makes this place better than the rest. Bonus points because they have such a cute seating area in the back with a small stream(?).

I tried five different places while visiting the island and this was hands down my favorite one! We walked over to this place after getting lunch from the Big Wave Shrimp food truck. Tried the north shore combo. It was the fluffiest and most delicious shave ice we had! We also tried Matsumotos and although that was very good, it was not better than Kaimanas. Please avoid the long lines from Matsumotos and go to Kaimana. Thank me later! They also have a nice patio to sit down to enjoy your treat!

I tried shave ice for the first time at Kaimana and I am glad I did. I had no idea what to get and the team working there recommended the “Heavenly” which was Cocoa, matcha and mochi over macadamia nut ice cream. I was blown away by how good it was and how absolutely fresh the flavors were! I had never had macadamia nut ice cream before but now I want it at my local grocery store. The ice was soft and easy to eat with magnificent flavor while the ice cream underneath was smooth and creamy. Seriously blown away by this place. My wife got the strawberry lemonade. I tried hers and the strawberry topping was so fresh it tasted like they has made us a strawberry lemonade smoothie with real fruit! Needless to say, we finished both and when I come back to North Shore I will be stopping here again. Probably for the same item! Just as a heads up for parking, depending on which direction you come from there will be a small parking lot with other food trucks just at the end of the shopping center Kaimana is in. It was monitored by a parking lot attendant the day we went. We told her we were there to visit Kaimana and she let us know parking was free for us in that lot. Also, after you get your shaved ice from Kaimana definitely go sit out back by the river by exiting the shop through the door on the right facing the counter. There were ducks and it was a nice relaxing view with seating for us to have our dessert. Love this place, absolutely 5-stars!

It was delicious. We got the North Shore and Cold Brew. The ladies were very friendly and held onto ours in the freezer while we went to the restroom. We had the best views, too in the garden in the back. 100% recommend this place.

We had the pleasure of working with Jake at Kaimana Shave Ice as a vendor for our wedding at Sunset Ranch. Jake and the Kaimana Shave Ice team were awesome and super easy to work with, despite the torrential rain at the wedding. While they are pricey, we loved treating our guests to shave ice and the guests loved having a special hawaiian treat. Also the shave ice truck is very cute when lit up at night and it came out beautifully in photos. We highly recommend them as a wedding vendor!
