I have eaten here multiple times! If this place had fair food, it would still get at least 3 stars simply because of how far it is from other restaurants. The Staff is friendly. Good atmosphere! The food was good! The food was very fresh! The portion of ribs seemed a little small, but that may have been because I liked it and wanted more! The cheesecake was awesome!!

Almost drove past this little gem of a place. From the outside it doesn’t look like much but when you walk in it is surprising how open it is. They had a paint and sip in the far part of the restaurant and in the middle of it all was the bar with lots of seating space. If you like to sit outside there are plenty of tables to get an overlook of the ocean far below. The waiter we had was so good I was convinced he owned the place. On top of his game. It had a nice bar and grill menu with large portions. Cost was about 15-20$ per dish but don’t skip out on the sides or beer.

If you are not looking for this place, you will miss it. Looks like it is a locals hang out. Lots of seating space. Big bar. Big food portions. Update: we came back and wife had the fish and chips. Fish was Ohno and it was the best she has ever tasted!

Stumbled upon this place while driving back to Kona. Nice homely restaurant that looks to be frequented equally by local residents and tourists. Surprisingly extensive menu choices and the food was piping hot and tasty. Tried out their coffee cheesecake and lava cake and both were fantastic. Extremely friendly and quick service. Wide choice for adults and kids. Definitely worth a stop if looking for a filling, tasty meal in a casual setting. I had the Ono fish and chips and definitely the best fish and chips I’ve had to date.

We stopped by on our way back from seeing South point. Our server was really kind and patient while we decided on our meals. The food was fantastic. My husband and I split the sweet potato and sunflower veggie burger and the veggie stir fry and both were great! My in laws both got burgers and they enjoyed them as well. I highly recommend the banana pecan cheesecake! It was sooo good! I suggest stopping here if you’re in the area, there is something for everyone.

Great spot in the middle of nowhere. No cell service! Great happy hour, but, be warned, this is a place for locals so they will be here at the bar and they will be LOUD. However, the food is great and some of the service is with a smile! We stop by every time we are on Big Island and have never been disappointed. If you want to hear your own conversation don’t go between 3-6 pm or sit far away from the bar. Also, try the Lava Flow.

We liked our stop here after a long day at Volcanoes National Park. It is right off the highway and the parking lot is amply sized. The beers, drinks and food are reasonably priced ($18 for an entree). We enjoyed the excellent calamari rings (hot and fresh), wahoo sandwich (large portion) and the fish and chips (delicious fish; fries were not very fresh, tasty tarter sauce). Beers were ice cold and the place was pretty lively (music was finishing up). The lava cake for dessert was warm and served with ice cream. Check the hours as many places around here close quite early.

Came here after a hike. Food was delicious and the vibe was very nice. Great to see a low key local place. The coconut calamari rings were out of this world and so was their mac salad. The beef sandwich was also really good!

My friends and I meet here almost every week! The food is great, and the service is always super friendly! It can get busy, so you may need to wait a bit for a table. The atmosphere is so fun we enjoy our girls night out and are loving having such a nice place here so close to home!

Friendly and delicious! Stopped in for a later dinner after visiting Volcanoes NP. Staff was friendly from the time we entered. Restaurant was filled with unique and hand painted artwork. Appeared to be one server covering the whole restaurant but we were seated and taken care of right away. Our server was very kind, and we didn’t feel rushed. Food was great and filling! Our server made frequent stops to make sure we had everything we needed and to top off our drinks. We ordered two pieces of cheesecake to go and they were amazing! Would definitely stop here again when in the area.
