All time favorite sushi place. Even though we used to live 40minutes from kai it’s always been our first choice. Very friendly staff and quick fantastic food! There sushi class is also super fun 😀

We came here with a Groupon and ordered two sushi rolls and an order of egg rolls. We are big sushi fans and were excited to try a new place. Both the sushi and the soup were pretty flavorless and the atmosphere was lacking. I was a bit surprised with the prices, you can get the same food but much better quality at a more upscale place. The only redeeming quality was our waitress. She was very sweet and attentive.

I always kind of avoided this place because it was a former pizza hut and still had the pizza hut feel to it but my family and I were feeling adventurous. The decor is not the fanciest. It’s like high end flea market Japanese decorative elements meets practical no nonsense brown tables and chairs. Definitely not a first date restaurant, granted not every place should be or is. The service was great. Our server was knowledgeable and very friendly without being overbearing. I tried to order the vegetarian ramen but they had run out because they make their own in house soup bases and sauce. We went kind of late so totally understandable. What we did order worked out well. The portions were generous and the food was tasty. Presentation was okay, nothing creative but sensible. My son had the all you can eat sushi option which was really awesome. The way it works is that you can order two sushi dishes, you can’t share and whatever you do not finish you will incur a charge (prorated to what is unfinished). Very reasonable given that they didn’t skimp on any of the ingredients and everything was freshly prepared. My son had to stop at four plates because he hadn’t expected the portions to be as large as they were. Overall we had a great experience, would recommend for families.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover! While this place was a bit off putting (it’s located inside an old Pizza Hut), the food was really great! We found them through a Groupon of 2 all-you-can-eat meals and thought to try them out. The service was a bit slow at first (only one waiter to serve 5+ tables), the ambiance is definitely lacking, but the food was not. We really enjoyed everything we tried, the server was very nice too. All in all, great food, okay service, bad ambiance. Without the Groupon, it’s a bit pricey for the total experience, but again, it’s got great food!

You can obviously tell that this restaurant is in an old Pizza Hut, but the atmosphere is negligible combined with the great food. We ordered at least 5 different rolls and there was not a single item that we did not absolutely love. Service was adequate and speedy and the prices are somewhat reasonable. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to any one I know.

Worst sushi I’ve ever had. We got the “all you can eat” lunch special and were charged EXTRA for not finishing all the sushi on our plate. Our unfinished sushi was not due to us ordering too much food- it was because the sushi tasted terrible and was not as described on the menu. This place also had tape all over the ceiling, napkins scattered about the floor and was very dark due to about 60% of the lights in the restaurant not working. I had a very good experience at the Kai Sushi on 410, but this place was the worst! A huge waste of $40.

Got this as a Groupon for my wife for Christmas and she loved it. She said that some of the Rolls looked like a work of art and the flavor was excellent. Moderate to Expensive in price with a reasonable all you can eat price. Worth the money I spent for my wifes happiness.

Very bad place. Avoid at all means. Food is not fresh, tastes bad. Greatly overpriced. You can get much tastier and fresher sushi going to the nearby HEB. Do not buy the deal thru Groupon as it would be a rip off. The place falsly advertised much higher price there and simply charge full price thru Groupon. Server has no idea that sushi is supposed to be served with Wasabi and ginger. It looks like their are not available at this eatery.

Teriyaki chicken bento I ordered, the chicken was good, the noodles were bland and the mixed rice just tasted plain. I have been to lots of other places like this and most of which have a better taste to me. Also tried the tuna, salmon, and fish; they weren’t the freshest, but tasted ok.

We saw that Kai had opened up in the area an decided to try it out. We were pleasantly surprised with the sushi. Everything was fresh, great food and great service. The only thing missing was Asahi super dry. They are working on getting their liquor license.
