I was in town for a conference and wanted something that was small owner and not typical diner fare. The building was small and a little run down. Decor was nice, but simple. I was greeted by I think the owner and she was very nice and welcoming. I got a platter with pork kabob, ground meat on stick and sides. The menu was a little confusing as to what came with a platter but she helped me. Food was good. Didnt eat all the pork as it was very fatty and had a lot of gristle. The rest was delicious. Good hummus. They do accept credit cards now, so that’s an improvement on what I saw in previous reviews.

The food was definitely good-I really like Mediterranean food so am partial. But quite pricey. The owner made it sound like the gyros came with a side of stuffed grape leaves but ended up charging me extra for them. When we asked about the bill, he could not give us a satisfactory explanation that we could understand so we just paid the expensive bill. He also does not take credit cards and that makes it difficult since I don’t carry much cash. He needs to get rid of all the junk in the windows and get better signage. Marketing and ambiance is in need of improvement if he wants to stay in business. We suggested adding Egyptian music. It’s refreshing to find ethnic food in this heavily dutch german area that does not offer vegetarian or different food choices!

Have you ever head the phrase don’t judge a book by its cover? Well this restaurant is totally that saying. At first when you walk in it seems very empty and not a lot of decorations or overall decor. However, the food was amazing!! The owner, who is from Egypt, makes all the food herself. The hummus and Gyro were amazing and everything was so fresh! I cannot wait to eat there again!

Lisa and I ate here on Monday. The owner was very friendly and we told him we are vegetarian, and he said….sit, I’ll make you each a plate. It was Tha most delicious food we have had in a very long time, especially Mediterranean. He came back to clear our spotless plates and we said…more of different vegetarian food, he laughed and brought back a huge plate of more for each of us. We got baklava to go. I cannot say enough good about this restaurant, we wanted to go back Tuesday, but we will wait until next week. Do yourself a favor and eat here. It truly is comfort food made with oodles of love.

This place is legit, home made Egyptian/Mediterranean food. We got the mixed grill and was very delicious! Very good customer service, Mr. Ashraf is very friendly and has a very good welcome attitude. My wife and I definitely will go there again.

After reading the reviews, we were excited to try this place! Unfortunately, as much as I wish I could give a great review, I simply cannot. The interior is dark and dungy, looks very run down. We ordered the Lamb gyro, falafel platter and grape leaves. The falafel platter has 4 falafel patties, some hummus and chopped lettuce. No tomatoes, cucumber, the hummus was lacking flavor, very runny consistency, the pita bread was generic pita you would purchase in a grocery store, the grape leaves were served hot, as if microwaved, very mushy. The gyro, lamb not seasoned, lacking flavor. The cost was over $27.00, which if the food would have been satisfactory, not bad. I will not be going back nor recommending this place. Wish this would have lived up to the reviews…

After paying $55 for absolutely nothing above two adults and a child eating LUNCH, I wished I could have given it back. The food was good but lacked salt. And I just have to say the grape leaves were not filled with soft lemony rice rather hard microwaved rice with much different spices than I’ve ever had.

Went in on a snowy day for lunch and my friend and I had the place to ourselves. We had the eggplant and lamb gyros, a meat pie and spanakopita, and then their baklava for dessert. Everything was delicious, this place deserves to be slammed on a snow day! 🙂

This is an excellent restaurant. We had a vegetarian plate made up by the Chef/owner. Falafel, dolmades, delicous potatoes, and tabouli, plus excellent baclava. There black tea is excellent as well. Must eat here.
