One major heads-up: It is always SOOOOOO cold inside. I hate it because the food gets cold so fast every time we eat there. I’ve honestly thought about just doing takeout next time because of the temp, so bring a jacket if you’re staying!
The Noodle Staples — 5/5 You literally cannot go wrong with the Pad Thai or Pad See Ew. Regardless of which you pick, they are some of the most perfect, juiciest noodles I’ve had. I’m including pictures because they’re just that good. Always a staple and always consistent.
The Curry Situation:
-Green Curry (5/5): Since my usual Panang was a letdown here (too watery!), I tried the Green Curry and it’s AMAZING. It’s now the only place I’ll actually order green curry. No notes—just get it.
-Panang Curry (2/5): Sadly, this has been way too thin both times I tried it. The flavor is great, but they just water it down 🙁
Tom Kha Soup — 4/5 I love how many toppings they pack in here—lots of fresh lemongrass, ginger, mushrooms, and kaffir lime leaves. Sometimes it can be a little watery, but the freshness is definitely there. One of the dishes I always get here!
Spicy Basil Fried Rice — 2/5 This was a disappointment. Usually, this dish should be a flavor and spice bomb, but here it’s very light—almost like a Yang Zhou style fried rice. If you’re looking for that bold, spicy kick, skip this one.
Pro Tip: Use the spice rack! I love adding the fish sauce with peppers when a dish needs a bit more umami.
Final Thoughts: Even with a few misses, the star noodle dishes are so good you have to try them. Amazing green curry and tom kha soup! It’s 100% worth it for a quick, affordable craving. Just remember the jacket or get it to go!
Definitely recommend!
Spicy Crispy chicken, Tom Yum Soup, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Yellow Curry, and Pad Thai. Totally recommend this little joint!
We came, for the first time, during lunch and we soon found there were lunch specials which are such a good value. You get soup along with your dish for 10 bucks!
For dinner, the portions are more sizable but you lose out on some included sides like the rice and wonton chips, but the food is simply delicious. Not too salty, not too sweet, not too salty!
The service is always prompt and friendly. They check up on you and always take care of you, but not to the point where you can’t hold a conversation with each other and it becomes annoying.
