Had a great dinner at JP’s Waterfront and really enjoyed the whole experience. The restaurant has an awesome waterfront setting – you can watch the boats and soak in the river views while you eat, which gives it a really fun, relaxed vibe.

Our food was fresh and flavorful, and the portions were generous. The menu has a nice mix of seafood, burgers, and comfort-food favorites, so it’s easy for everyone at the table to find something they like. Drinks were good too, and came out quickly. Fun holiday decor! Love it!

Service was friendly and attentive even though they were busy, and we never felt rushed. This is the kind of place that’s perfect for a casual night out, especially if you want to sit by the water and unwind.

Their cannoli cake was to die for too! Highly recommend!

**I’d definitely come back to JP’s Waterfront for dinner, especially on a warm evening on the patio.**

The food was a culinary delight, very satisfying, visually appealing, and one my taste buds are left curious to try more dishes. I ordered mushrooms for the appetizer, they were big, breaded well, and the bistro sauce is the best I’ve ever tasted. The chefs special was Garlic Muffin Hash Bowl, it was one of the BEST meals I’ve ever had that someone else cooked besides me. The fish and chips were closest thing to English Style that I’ve ever had. This is a must go to on any culinary enthusiast out there. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

The restaurant has a great vibe, especially if you’re sitting on the patio. We really enjoyed the wings and pretzels. They were delicious, lol. We ordered BBQ and garlic wings. I don’t really recommend the New York strip because the steak really has no flavor. The drinks were delicious that we ordered, sangria, frozen daiquiri and pina colada. Our waitress Emily was very friendly and attentive!

We were on Grosse Ile and looking for a lunch spot with river views but it’s fairly limited so we hopped over the bridge to this location based on the reviews. We’re very glad we did. We knew it would be crowded with the perfect weather and a weekend day so we arrived right when it opened and got a perfect spot by the water. This is my main advice for this place – get there early since after we arrived it started to get packed (and the open tables got further from the water view). The service was pretty good other than I had to catch her a few times to ask for a refill or item. The food was great – which was nice – usually with these “nice view” restaurants they don’t have to try as hard for the food but this place delivered. We started with coconut shrimp which was small but tasty (probably wouldn’t order again for the price) but for entrees my wife had the walleye and I had a fancy burger which we both enjoyed. Would come back again.

Wow, the scenery here is amazing! You can see the docks from inside the restaurant, AND there’s outdoor seating off the water! The food is so amazing and it doesn’t break the bank! Weekday deals that all are quite significant, and the service is top notch, shout outs to Angela for having the best service I’ve had at a restaurant

Awesome place right on the water. We saw a tiktok about this place and decided to try it on our way home from a wedding. What a great find! We tried many dishes, but I have to say the pepperoni flatbread with hot honey was my fave! We also enjoyed the crab cakes and fried pickles. Big fan of the batter on the spears! Yum!

The stall bites were so delicious! The mushrooms were huge and very good. The fish taco was good but the sauce on top was way to hot. I don’t mind some heat but it was super hot!

We accidentally stumbled upon this restaurant and it was a “happy accident” as my family called it. This place had such a welcoming feeling, service was incredible, the Elf decor was so fun, the food felt like homemade meals you’d get at your grandmas house and Santa being there was the cherry on top. We had 4 kids with us and they said the chicken fingers were the best they’ve ever had! Wish it was closer, but will be taking a special trip there again someday!

We went on my birthday bc I wanted to go somewhere new and sit by the water since summer was coming to an end soon. The back patio was really nice and had pretty views up and down the Detroit River. It was otherwise your regular type of bar & grill kind of place. We got seated quickly and ordered some crab cakes and French onion soup. Those were both amazing!! Then I ordered shrimp tacos and garlic Parmesan potatoes and my husband ordered the Cajun seafood linguine. Our food came and I was brought chicken tacos, so I had to send them back and munched on the potatoes, which were cold and over cooked and very bland bc there was hardly any garlic and zero parm I could see. Shrimp tacos came and we’re good. Nothing special, but tasty. My husband said his was about the same, nothing special but tasty. We didn’t get cocktails or anything, so no report on that, but there were a fair amount of people sitting inside at the bar drinking, so I imagine it’s good. All in all I was pleased with my bday dinner there. Not sure if I would go back bc it was a 45 minute drive, but the crab cakes and French onion soup were that good, so maybe…

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible Riverside Dining at JP Waterfront – The Reggae Atlantic Salmon is a MUST-TRY!

My recent visit to JP Waterfront in Gibraltar, Michigan, was nothing short of amazing! This waterfront gem offers not only breathtaking views but also some of the most delicious food I’ve had in the area.

I ordered the Reggae Atlantic Salmon, and it was absolutely phenomenal! The salmon was perfectly grilled—flaky, moist, and packed with flavor thanks to the signature Jamaican jerk-inspired spices. The sweet and smoky glaze balanced the heat beautifully, and the side of coconut rice and grilled vegetables complemented the dish perfectly. Every bite was a burst of Caribbean-inspired deliciousness!

The atmosphere was just as impressive as the food. Sitting on the patio overlooking the water made the meal even more enjoyable. Our server was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed.

If you’re visiting JP Waterfront, do yourself a favor and order the Reggae Atlantic Salmon—it’s a standout dish that keeps me coming back! Paired with a cold drink and the serene lake view, this place is a true dining treasure.

**5 stars—highly recommend!**
