Traveling to Massachusetts always means lobster rolls for me. JPs lobster rolls are among the best I’ve had. The lobster was piled on and falling out. There was so much meat on it that I finished with a fork. If you’re in Westboro , stop in and enjoy a lobster roll.

Though small, this vintage neighborhood restaurant’s menu offers quality American fare with burgers, lobster rolls, spaghetti and meatballs, to delicious thick steaks and New England style baked and fried seafood. Portions and presentation are consistent. The casual atmospheres is invitingly throw-back, with sports oriented motif and multiple TV screens. Booth and table service is welcoming and efficient. Bar is good sized and offers counter style food service. It’s our favorite place to go when we’re looking to kick back and relax over a drinks and a bowl of fresh popcorn, followed by a nice meal while being treated like we really matter.

Went to JP’s for lunch with two friends and was Not disappointed. Sat at the bar and we all had heaping servings of seafood delights in rolls fried to perfection. Cold beverages and a winning Keno made JP’s a sweet day. Hasn’t changed in 40 years.

Such a great, authentically Boston dive. The best clam chowder I’ve ever had. Amazing lobster roll. Complimentary popcorn and a warm atmosphere. They take cash and check only do come prepared. There’s an atm on site also. Will definitely be back!!!

I have been going here for over 30 years. I have had a lot of menu items from JP’s but for the past 18 years I always get the same thing every time I go. The steak sandwich, not to be confused by their open face steak sandwich, with cheese and onions is the best steak sandwich anywhere. I have never been anywhere else that can compete with their sandwich. It is a cut of steak, not shredded steak like your typical steak and cheese sandwich, that is so tender that you don’t need a knife to eat it with, usually. I may have had 5 sandwiches over the 18 years I have been ordering that had a bit of grizzle which made it hard to cut with my teeth. All other sandwiches have not had that issue. I recommend anyone trying this place to give the steak sandwich with cheese a try.

Usually we love this place. Not today. Ordered a house salad with ramch amd the chicken parmigian sandwich. The bill included up charges for cheese on a chicken parm. and almost a buck for ranch dressing. Ridiculous.
