This place brings me back when I was young in little Mexico. I love the stylish photos, piñatas, and more. 100% recommend to come here to eat any day or time of the week especially night time. The chef makes the food great and the waitress named Latisa is a phenomenal person. She’s a really nice person and feels like you knew her ever since her childhood. Love it❤️

My wife and I recently dined at Jose’s Mexican Restaurant, and unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience.

We ordered the full nachos, expecting a vibrant, flavorful dish, but what arrived was a flat, unappealing mess that looked like it had been prepared days earlier and reheated. The chips were soggy, the toppings were nearly unrecognizable, and the cheese sauce tasted like it came straight from a can—completely lacking freshness or authenticity.

The restaurant’s interior only added to the letdown. It is outdated and in desperate need of a deep clean. The atmosphere was nonexistent—no music, no background ambiance, and the lighting was gloomy and uninviting.

The less said about the bathroom, the better.

Overall, Jose’s fell far short of expectations, we strongly recommend choosing a different restaurant for your next meal.

Cool little local spot. The Nachos are amazing. Their wet burritos are good too. Friendly service and authentic atmosphere. They are very quick at making the food. Decent prices and good portion sizes too. They’ve been around for over 30 years if that says something. Support local business!

A group of family members went out to Jose’s after the Michigan vs Maryland football game. Most of us have eaten here previously so it was kind of a no brainer choice for us. We walked in about 7:30, got our food shy of one hour later. Speaking for myself only. I was disappointed with both the food and service this time around. Our waitress was nice and all, but “slow” on everything. My taco salad was very disappointing. The shell was burned and had a burned taste throughout. The salad had some mystery meat (I think it was shredded beef???), while the rest of the salad just had no flavor, just plain, like raw out of the garden. I guess I will reconsider going to Jose’s the next time….

I hate to have to write this.. but my 1st and last experience eating here ( Take out). The Interior is as depressing as it gets and wreaked of burt oil and ciggarettes. We ordered tacos rice and beans and the tacos were greasy, the meat was flavorless and the cheese was a welfare style cheese. Some kind of imitation velveta stuff. So we threw all of our order away and called in ANOTHER pick up order to a different restaurant. The food was really quite disgusting. I 100% advise to Absolutely Avoid eating here BELIEVE the 1 Star reviews. Its gross. It cost us $25 to learn that lesson.

Absolutely phenomenal. Every last bit of it radiates exuberance. The culture, the art, the service was all emaculate. The best experience I have ever had. Latisa is the goat

Found a new place for us in town and we will definitely be back! Food was on point, exactly how we special ordered two. And you saved a bird which as a rescue director was a home run for me!

The food. It’s honest house made.Get take out. Twenty bucks for two and there’s leftover 8/23/2024- meat is less salty and French fries improved greatly. Salsa is best anywhere. Really stepped up.
