I was visiting family in Delaware today and offered to bring lunch. I picked the pizza place with the best reviews. It turns out there is a reason for the good reviews. The lady who took my phone order was very pleasant and efficient. My food was ready and hot when we picked it up. Breadsticks: great. Pizza: great. Subs? People, these were the best Italian subs I’ve ever had. Please support this gem of a business. 5 stars. Bonus for the pickup window.

When we ordered on the phone the guy was very impatient, I said a single item and he was like “is that it.”. When we got there the girl in the window was polite at first and told us we had four more minutes till our food was done so we pulled to park after we paid. 15 minutes go by so we go through the drive through again , they’re bagging it up. Great, no issue there but it’s when she hands us our food. We ordered ONE sub, a personal sausage pizza, a side salad, wings, and a LARGE ITALIAN SAUSAGE WITH EXTRA CHEESE. She goes to hand us two subs and the small pizza, we politely tell her we only had one sub “well what’s the name for your order.” We tell her “okay but it says two subs” we did order that, we explain our order again “okay but your order was so and so right?” Yes that’s our name but that’s not what we ordered. Then she walks off to grab someone from the back and she’s just as rude! We explain what was wrong with our order “well what do you want me to do about it? I have to make the pizza” well I hope you would make the pizza and fix the order we paid for. Won’t be coming back for awhile.

Tonight we ordered the nightly special (2 xL pizzas) and breadsticks with cheese. The sauce is so tasty and always just the right amount. The family is always happy to see Paynes when i being home as a surprise for dinner. The food was hot and fresh, tasted great and was more than enough to feed us with some left over for next day lunches and after school snacks.
You already know we all wanted the bubble and YES it was so good, lol!!!
We love the daily specials. They help us save money and make the food last even longer! If you sign up for the Toast app and order/pay that way. Your points add up and can be applied towards your total. I had 7.65 in money towards my total tonight!

Stopped here for the first time to take food to my son’s house for his family. Everybody seemed to like the pizza. We got a specialty pizza and remove some of the toppings, and then a pepperoni pizza. They are definitely not skimpy on the toppings! Thursday night they had $2 off a two topping large pizza so that was a nice surprise. Food was ready when it was supposed to be.

Paid 18.99 for Supreme. Price on menu from Paynes own website shows 16.99 for Supreme. See attached photo, pizza received was 12-13″ at most. Manager was indifferent to concern, said dough shrinks and claimed he used 14″ dough. Buyer beware!

Got a pizza (Abbie’s Pig ) and wings ( Buffalo ), the food was not that great. The pizza and wings were both about the same quality as a frozen tombstone pizza and microwaved Tyson wings. The service was good, they seemed friendly and attentive. But unless you enjoy frozen pizza that the toppings fall off of when you pick it up I would not recommend this pizza place.
