For Friday evening, the wait was minimal, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Beautiful atmosphere overall as visualized in the photos. The hush puppies were mouth melting and the Cajun shrimp and grits for someone who does not like grits was absolutely delicious with a good amount of balance between the spiciness, flavor and creaminess. I will highly recommend this restaurant and if I ever visit again, I will be coming back. No alcohol served.

Had lunch here with some family who live in a nearby town. They make a point to go to Jonah’s whenever they are in Thomasville and I can see why they do. Everything was absolutely delicious! The hush puppies (aka dough boys) were the best I’ve had anywhere. Lovely house salad to start followed by some wonderful shrimp and grits. Nice, creamy sauce over everything and the grits had pieces of squash and bell pepper. Just excellent all around! Told my family I wanted to come back the next day to have something different…

I had heard about this little gem from a fellow colleague. We drove 2 1/2 hours to check it out. They have certainly earned everyone of their 4.8 stars! Great vibe, clean establishment, friendly staff. There is definitely a chef in the kitchen. Everything was extremely flavorful. All of the flavors were perfectly balanced, spices were not too spicy, sweets were not too sweet, and everything had a lot of flavor. Prices seemed on par for the quality of food, ordering on a good value. Please pay more in a bigger city for similar quality food. Overall amazing experience.

Beautiful walkable town with lots of shops, boutiques, and restaurant/cafes. Come Check it out.

Savannah so attentive and took care of our dinner nicely, I got the cyclone shrimp and brussel sprouts. I could not have asked for a better meal, short of a regrett for not ordering the green beans instead of fries. The shrimp was the best I’ve had the brussel sprouts were amazing, even those in the party that couldn’t stand brussel sprouts thought they were good after some persuasion to try them.
Thanks again Savannah for such a fantastic dinner.

We were passing by Thomasville, saw the reviews for Jonah’s fish and grits and decided to stop by for dinner. Upon entering, the restaurant was very clean, and the staff were welcoming. I ordered the salmon with mash potatoes and brussel sprouts and my Husband ordered the Parmesan crusted grouper with grits and collards. It was the best seafood meal we have every had (and we are from the coast). Our server Brock was great. He was extremely attentive and informative. Overall it was a great experience. I can’t recommend Jonah’s enough.

Great food. Great service! A little on the noisy side but still a nice atmosphere. Plenty of yummy selections. The Cajun shrimp and grits was outstanding but be aware it is a bit spicy. I like spicy but this was just a nip past my level. Nonetheless delicious. The chicken pesto pasta was good abs the pasta on the al dente side. Fried green tomatoes were the bomb!! It comes with a balsamic reduction that was so incredible. This is a place to come back to for sure!!

Awesome experience here on a work-related trip. Colleagues from the area highly recommended and it was well worth the wait! Expect to spend at least 20 minutes waiting but know the food is delicious and service on point. Had the Cajun shrimp and grits and hushpuppies. So flavorful! Stop by!

My family and I have been regulars at Jonah’s for several years. Today we had lunch there and for the first time I was very disappointed. My daughter and I were craving their crab cakes. Looking over the menu we noticed it had been updated and several of our favorites were missing including the crab cakes! They also no longer offer the complimentary bowl of hush puppies. (You do get one with your meal) A few years ago they also took the shrimp wrap and their steak off of the menu, my son’s favorites.
Today, it took 30 minutes for us to get our salads and the caesar salad didn’t seem the same, no arugula like previously. It took awhile to get the main course and our waitress apologized saying they had a lot of “to go orders” putting kitchen staff behind. In my opinion people dining in the restaurant should be priority. Our main courses arrived and my daughter’s shrimp and grits were cold and my ginger snap salmon was not seared but burnt on the bottom. Jonah’s has always been a favorite of mine and I’m just so disappointed. The staff were all very nice but the food and recent changes that were made will most definitely keep us from returning anytime soon.
