If you’re craving seriously good subs, Jon Smith Subs is a must-visit. I stopped by their location in Jupiter, Florida, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with that warm, casual vibe of a neighborhood sandwich shop, but with the quality and flavor of a place that takes its subs seriously.
The star of the show? The Steak Bomb. It’s loaded with perfectly seasoned sirloin steak, grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, and melted provolone—all packed into fresh, soft bread that holds everything together beautifully. Every bite was juicy, cheesy, and full of flavor.
I also tried the Cajun Chicken sub, which had the perfect kick of spice without being overwhelming. The chicken was tender and the seasoning was spot on. And of course, I couldn’t leave without trying their Cuban a delicious twist on the classic, with layers of ham, pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard pressed to crispy perfection.
What really sets Jon Smith Subs apart is how everything is made to order, and you can taste the freshness in every bite. The portions are super generous too you definitely get your money’s worth.
The staff was friendly, quick, and made sure everything was just right. The restaurant itself was clean and had a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere that made it perfect for a casual lunch or quick bite.

This is a sub shop. With no subs. They made our subs an cold tortias If we had wanted that we would not have come to a sub shop. Absolutely the worst sub ever. We were here two nights ago and it was wonderful however, tonight we order our subs and instead of a sub roll they put it on a tortilla. Then they cut it on a diagonal halfway through so that when you pick it up, it falls apart. We attempted to have them cut it the rest of the way through, but they could not understand English enough to be able to handle cutting the sandwich. So disappointing. After spending money on subs that were never delivered to us we are now headed out to buy yet another dinner.
Apparently, no one at the restaurant really cares about their service, food, quality, or communicating with customers. So many signs around the restaurant about how they take care of customers. It is a shame it is not the case.

This place is an absolute gem! One can taste the fresh bread and high-quality made-to-order ingredients with bold, balanced, and insanely satisfying flavors. The portions are so generously put together with attention to detail by the friendliest people who work there. This shop is immaculately clean and the moment you walk in, you see the care that goes into everything they do. It’s a casual sub shop with bold gourmet flavors! Please make sure to try the Steak Bomb and Tuna Bomb subs-Yummy!!
The only criticism -there isn’t one in Fort Lauderdale yet, but still worth our hour drive!!!

Ordered a sandwich to go at 11:45 am on February 12, 2026. The crew that was working there at that time this day was great. Efficient, polite, quick and the sandwich was really tasty. Whoever is working that shift is doing a great job, especially the cashier, don’t know his name. I will definitely be back!

Really 3 stars but not as bad as other a star places and trying to be fair.
Absolutely better than Subway…I’d give an edge to Quiznos if they were still around. I ordered a 6″/half Bacon Maple Chicken. Bread was better than the average sub shop. I won’t complain about the amount of chicken/bacon/filling Taste was fine too. But $10 and change? I don’t know; I may still be living in the past and a bit frugal but that seems kinda expensive to me. $10 for 12″ I could understand but 6″?
Then again, then average sub-par (sub-par everywhere in FL…40 years in NY may have spoiled me) Bacon, Egg & Cheese on a roll goes for $9-12 around here, so maybe it’s not all that out of line.
Anyway, if you want a decent sandwich served quickly and can’t stomach Subway, this is worth a try.

Been coming here for years ever since they took down the red roof pizza hut that used to sit on this property and over the years prices have gone up and quality has gone WAY down ive only ever got the grilled marinated steak subs and figured I would try the grilled chicken sub and this is what I got wish I would have watched them make it and not found this after I drove all the way home I would not feed this to my dog was not offered any toppings mayo or dressings is this what a $10 grilled chicken 6 inch sub is supposed to look like very disappointed it will be some time before I try this establishment again
