JoJu

  4.8 – 37 reviews   • Vietnamese restaurant

JoJu’s banh mis are modern interpretations of the classic sandwich. With New York as its backdrop, JoJu is naturally inspired by its international surroundings. Here, not only will you find the original banh mi of pork and pate, but also banh mis featuring a umani filled Korean bulgogi or a savory Japanese kakuni set against the contrasting tang and crisp of the classic carrot-daikon slaw. You can top it all off with our spicy green sauce or add runny egg to bring it all together. Don’t forget the banh mi fries! With JoJu Elmhurst, JoJu Midtown, and now our third location: JoJu Port Washington, our goal is to bring you lots of love through our food. We hope to fill everyone’s stomach with deliciousness. Thank you always for your support!

Just noticed this place and stopped in for a fantastic Banh mi chicken sandwich. Love the bread, the chicken, sauce and cilantro. Staff is quick and super nice, the small dining area is also very cool. Nice touches on the wall with tasteful Vietnamese puns. Can’t wait to come back.

Great place for sandwiches with an Asian flare! The bowls are great also. All the different tastes dance in your mouth. Service is great. The place is a bit small, so no room for huge groups. You must try the drinks!

Got the lemongrass chicken sandwich and it was very fresh and delicious! Comparable to great banh mi places in NYC. Service was quick and friendly too. Looking forward to going back and trying more of their menu, including the spring rolls, fries and bowls.

Today I went to the store and saw that the lights were off, I went online and it states that it is temporarily closed. I’m not sure for what reasons being I cannot find any given, nor do I know if this will lead to the store permanently closing. I hope this does not happen as I love eating here, but the business should do a better job on posting via social media if a certain location is closed for a certain amount of time. I am really upset that I wasted my time coming.

What once was the best Vietnamese restaurant closest to me has just been nothing but closed down the last 4 months due to “renovation”, r.i.p bulgogi bowl .

Port Washington finally has a Vietnamese restaurant – and an amazingly delicious one at that! The sandwich was really fresh and packed with ingredients, and the spring rolls were pretty tasty too.

Absolutely loved this place. Such a change from the same old lunch we usually have. These aren’t my pictures but this is what we had. The sandwich is the kakuni pork belly and the other is the bulgogi bowl (beef). Can’t wait to try other things on the menu!!

This place is unbelievable. I’ve eaten here 4x and each time I’m shocked by how good and reasonably priced it is. My husband and I have tried a bunch of stuff off the menu and it’s all so amazing.

My husband and I ordered the Joju Monster, Beef Bulgogi Banh MI, Joju Fries, and Vietnamese Iced Coffee. We thought their food was overhyped. Food was good, but not worth going out of your way to get it. We highly recommend the Joju Fries.
