Food was wonderful. We had the Fried pickles as an appetizer and they were perfect. My husband had the Admiral’s platter and he said it was prepared perfectly, he especially liked the oysters and the crab cake. I had the seafood Alfredo with shrimp and scallops and it was perfect I could have licked my plate. It was my husband’s birthday so we split a piece of Keylime pie and it was very good. Service was great my tea glass was always full, I even got one to go without asking and the hubby has a fresh beer when needed. This was our first visit but would definitely return and would highly recommend to anyone looking for some good seafood.

Party of 5. We all enjoyed our lunches. Snapper sandwich special was especially nice. Onion rings were fantastic. Lots of sauces. Excellent Key Lime pie. Our server, Chandaa, was a pro: friendly and efficient. Rustic atmosphere, sitting at the edge of a marsh. Very Carolina. You’ll be glad you came.

We stopped in for lunch waiting for our Villa check-in. What a pleasant find. Had the crabcake sandwich that came with a roulade and a lobster sauce… Mix the two if you try and you won’t regret it! Going to try and return to try the Maui BLT.

Service was bit slow (they seemed understaffed) but the food was absolutely delicious! We shared the fried pickles & loved them. I got the mahi tacos, blackened, and my husband got the mixed basket. I wish I got a picture but we were quite hungry when it arrived. I took the tomatoes off the taco (didn’t know they came on there) and put the green sauce (maybe some kind of lime ranch?) they give you on the tacos and it was so good. My husband said next time he would get an oyster basket because the oysters in particular were so good. I tried one of the shrimp and it was delicious. The fries were perfectly seasoned and I ate every single one, which is atypical for me. The staff were kind & friendly and the bathrooms were clean. I also really recommend the cherry (diet) Pepsi, the cherry juice was delicious.

This place was recommended to me by a local. Definitely a cool, local watering hole with beautiful views. I ordered the wings and asked them to be crispy, it they were still soft. Good flavor just not how I like my wings. I definitely recommend this place for the atmosphere and a place to go and hang out and have drinks.

We love JCT’s, saw they were open yesterday when driving by so went in for one of their fish treats.

Service was very fast. Server warm and friendly. The fish and slaw were delicious but I thought the fries were not up to standard…still a yummy lunch

Went in for lunch on a Sunday. It was late afternoon so not at all busy but I’m sure this place fills up on a Friday and Saturday evening. Love the vibes and location of the place. Lunch menu included plenty of options for entrees and appetizers. We enjoyed the fried pickles, buffalo wings, mahi BLT, and blackened snapper. The onion rings were my favorite item. Great restaurant option for those staying on Fripp Island that don’t want to travel back into Beaufort.

Casual place to stop and grab a bite. This is the kind of place you want to hang out, relax, have a beer, and stuff yourself with fried seafood. The menu is pretty basic and most everything is fried but the food is pretty good. Hush puppies and shrimp were really good but the crab cake could’ve been better. The sides were generic just basic cole slaw and fries. The view is nice. Prices were reasonable.

Good meal after a day at the beach. They have patio seating, which is dog friendly (I had read in other reviews, they brought water out for the dogs and treats, but we did not experience this). They were pretty busy and seemed to not have a full staff. We had to go inside to get our check. The food was good and flavorful, however. We would try again on a different day.

We went a couple of times for lunch while staying on Hunting Island. It is the closest restaurant to the campground but we also very much like their seafood, service, and dollar bills all over the walls. Also, can sit out by the water.
We had all seafood blackened and every bit was exceptional, even the smaller oysters. The four of us had, over a couple of seatings, cod, shrimp, ousters, and scallops for the blackened basket mix. Totally delicious, and dripping in succulent butter. Not too hot for those with a tender palate. I also had the red snapper blackened (catch of the day) which was perfectly cooked. She crab soup is outstanding, and the shrimp and okra gumbo was tasty. If you’re expecting a Louisiana roux, then don’t eat this soup. The flavor is good, more of a tomato base, with enough okra, shrimp, and sausage in the cup.
The salad is outstanding. We were told they used bacon but i still feel it was pancetta.
Ray, our server, was attentive, on cue, and has a great smile. He cares about his customers and is excellent at this job. We are certain he won’t be a server for the rest of his life. Thanks Ray for making our dining experience exceptional on this trip. Hopefully we will return in a year!
I forgot to take more pics!!
