This little neighborhood gem is a must have! It’s always the owner cooking the food and he knows it well ! The catfish is ALWAYS fresh and cooked to perfection with the light and crispy breading.. I always get the pork chop sandwich meal. The coleslaw is something that just cannot be replicated (we have tried lol!) It has the perfect balance of all ingredients..not too sweet not too tart sprinkled w pepper, it’s the best I’ve ever had ANYWHERE. The hand breaded okra is also something that has no comparison, its again some of the best I’ve had. Everything is season to perfection definitely not lacking flavor. If you havnt been to John’s fish Market it is a must!

Great local mom and pops fish market I love ordering the deep fried okra!!! The Catfish fillet dinner so crispy like always full flavor but my favorite favorite favorite part about it all is the coleslaw the coleslaw is undefeated!!! Most definitely recommend anyone looking for some good deep fried fish!!!

I grew in in Haughville and I swear I’ve eaten seafood in several different states and places and I can honestly say John’s is my absolute favorite. Perch sandwich with hotsauce and fries with ketchup and of course extra bread because the sandwich is so big lol. I live in ky but I am coming back this weekend for the best sandwich ever . If you find yourself in NapTown do yourself a favor and get to John’s fish market.

I had whiting fish and it was seasoned very well. Not enough fries. Cole slaw was different than what I’m used to but yet it was good. The dinner was a bit pricey but I think I’ll patronize their business again.

Fish fried just right. No standing around waiting. No, eye rolling as if the employees are doing you a favor. They bothered to put the correct condiments on the fish and fries. Plus, they are open after dark.
