The food is disgusting. I was highly disappointed. Everything (all sides) tasted like it came from out of a can and low quality, the rice and dressing was extremely mushy. The Mac n cheese was not all the way done (which is my favorite food but I opt not to get any). Everything was flavorless. The greens and cabbage was nasty as well. I brought the food back And explained I did not like the food so if I could get gravy to at least try to add flavor. The lady told me I would have to pay $.75 to get gravy. I then asked for a refund, she replied they do not give refunds or exchange food with an attitude. Basically she gave me a “oh well” attitude. I threw the food away and went somewhere else. I definitely would not recommend this place. The prices was decent but the food was awful. The service was awful as well.

Our first visit here in quite some time. Being Sunday afternoon there was a constant flow of customers but the line moved steadily. We were served by a friendly team member, and our bill was on par for 3 dinners (2 with ribs, macaroni and cheese, turnips, and blackeyed peas on the side; 1 with baked chicken over dressing, macaroni and cheese, and yams). We enjoyed the meal, and our only comment is that the peas could have stood just a tad more seasoning. Otherwise, we appreciate you all for a good meal and positive experience.

I’m not sure if it’s Mac n cheese or scrambled eggs I just know they absolutely wrong for service this, it’s NOT done and runny. However the fried chicken is delightful and so is the yams. I guess it’s a hit or miss with this place.

Worst Service Ever!!!!!!!!!! I was out enjoying a great day with my mom, she suggested this place because she’s been here a few times before. The line was long which wasn’t a problem and I ordered catfish so had to wait another 20 min since they cook it fresh, still no problem. When they finally called us up I asked for fresh macaroni and cheese and the cook said no she wasn’t bringing any more out. Not only did she say no but she had the ugliest, hateful attitude I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. I actually felt like she would’ve cussed me out or probably even tried to get physical, that’s how aggressive her tone was. As she was walking back to the kitchen she was still talking and rolling her neck looking at the people in line and I heard her say ‘I said what I said NO!’ Even if I changed my mind and picked another side, I couldn’t see myself spending money here let alone eating anything she touched! It’s a no and never again for me!

i really wanted to come here to say posive things b/c this place has fed me my growing young adult years; but it seems as if the more i come here, the more dissatisfying the services are! The food Quality has seriously decline – Undercooked vegetables mixed with dry meat that’s overcooked is crazy. Not to mention the prices don’t match the serving sizes. Don’t mess around &get their impatient servers at the counter because there will be no love or effort into fixing your plates & presentation is a big deal for people like me

Best southern food on the south side of Atlanta. Melt in you mouth ribs. The homemade Mac and cheese you have ever had. The owner John is one of our wonderful veterans. You will love his great cooking. And the nice atmosphere.

My husband visited John’s Fine Food years ago, and loved it. The restaurant closed down for sometime. We was driving near its location and noticed it had reopened. It was my first time trying the food. I had fried chicken, Mac & cheese, yams. It was ok! However I think it could have been alot better. Wasn’t what I expected!! I may re-visit not absolutely sure.
