First time to visit this place and there was no line. So I stopped by and ordered Carne Asada tacos. I would say not bad at all. I guess I’m just picky from the way the meat has been prepped. Most people here ordered for to go but they have indoor dining if you prefer.

Ventura resident my entire life and have gone to Johnny’s since I was a young. The portion size has shrunk considerably while prices have gone up about 30% in the last 2 years. An order of chips and salsa goes for $6.50. There are plenty of options in Ventura for good Mexican food at reasonable prices.

Stopped by to grab me a BREAKFAST BURRITO. Not just your regular basic breakfast burrito. I actually ordered me a BREAKFAST BURRITO WITH CARNE ASADA in it. It comes with eggs, beans,potatoes and carne asada in it. CAUTION This burrito is not easy to just eat once. Eat at your own risk. Every few weeks I take a trip all the way from South Oxnard just to get my fix. Don’t forget to get you that salsa on the side.

My first job was construction down street and had been going here since 15 yrs old. Have recently moved back to area and go out of my way to visit an old favorite haunt…looks the same but the attitude the food being wrong order then more attitude it’s my fault she got my order wrong. I left the meal an took my $5. tip back never to eat here again…shame how 1 employee can ruin an good memory n a possible life time customer
