I ordered from the dinner menu, which includes rice, an egg roll and an entree. There is a small delivery fee, but the food arrived hot, and was so very good. Thank you! We had the sesame chicken and the General Tsos.

We haven’t ordered from here for years so we thought we’d give it a shot. Coconut shrimp was disguising. Fried rice taste like brown minute rice. Only thing good was pizza roll. Don’t waste your money.

I’m very disappointed; I’ve been eating at Johnny Chang’s since I’m a YOUNG girl. I’ve never really had any issues in there aside from the lady at the front (whose been a fixture there for at least 30 years server/hostess). She has always been very cold & unwelcoming everytime I’ve ever gone in there to eat or pick up food. Tonight I walked in there with my boyfriend to eat dinner & asked for a table for two. She looked at us and said “we’re no longer serving food in the restaurant, take out only.” It was about 7:55p.m. We both looked at each other super confused since they’re opened until 9:30p.m. We both asked to use the bathroom & when we came out of the bathroom there were two people sitting there waiting to pickup their take out order & a Asian man & woman who were clearly walking in to sit down to eat- they asked for a table for two. The hostess quietly said okay, one moment (cutting him off mid sentence so I wouldn’t catch on) as if I wasn’t going to hear or see her (while she waited for us to walk out of the restaurant.) She looked at us and said “you wanted to order something to go, right?” Long story short, she told us that we couldn’t dine in and then told the other people that they could? I asked her why she told us something different & she said that she changed her mind & that she was allowed to change her mind about dining in. She said that no dining in could happen after 8:00pm, but told the Asian couple they could sit in the dining room? Not sure what type of place does this? It’s very disappointing that after being a customer of Johnny Chang’s for years, never having any issues- that she would just turn us away from dining in- but welcome others? I don’t think rude is even a word that fits the situation. I will never ever be eating there or ordering take out from this establishment ever again. I felt extremely offended, confused & almostly insecure about why I’d be targeted and so unwelcome. I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life at a restaurant. Do yourself a favor & find a different Chinese restaurant to spend your money with. This lady is the only person who you’ll ever really see in there (aside from kitchen staff popping out randomly- she answers the phones, takes orders, collects money & also serves). IF she allows you to sit in the dining room to eat, I promise you won’t leave thinking that you had a pleasant dining experience.

Good service. I had the sesame chicken dinner with pork fried rice ( instead of white rice) , an egg roll, AND wonton soup. This dish was 9.95 and was a great deal of food for that price. This is my favorite dish, and while I have had better versions , this is in my top 5 ( and I order this EVERYWHERE lol). My date comes here often… she had one of their sushi rolls – shrimp tempura in soy paper I believe- and loved it. We also both shared my pork fried rice which was top notch – both loved it!

Fairly good food and good service; I’m kinda picky so I’ll have to keep trying different menu items until I find what really works for me.

We place an order a few weeks ago for a few different items. The chicken lo mein was dry. The tuna roll had a smell. I immediately phoned and expressed my disappointment with the order. The woman offered to redo the order. I told her we would try back in a few weeks. I retained my receipt for proof. We decided to give them another try and when I retold then my situation and proceeded to reorder the items we had a problem with the guy was going to charge me the full amount for them so I cancelled the order. Their customer service is disgraceful and it showed me they just don’t care if you order from them or not! Save your money and go elsewhere!

I visit my husband’s family here in Philly (from Texas) every few years and we always get Chinese food at least once while we are here. The places we usually order from were closed down, so we searched for Chinese food near us and this place popped up. I ordered from them on an app called qMenu. I placed my order and was given the option to pay in cash, so I picked that one. About 5 minutes after I placed my order, I got a phone call from the restaurant and they told me that my total would be $109 instead of the $93 that I was told on the app and that included delivery, tax, AND tip. When I asked them why the price was more, they told me it was because the prices had changed. That’s fine, but they should REALLY update the prices on their website, it is NOT my problem that their prices changed but weren’t changed on the website and I think they should have honored the prices and total that I was given on the app. Their food was alright, some a little bland, some very tasty and that’s why they are getting 3 stars, but because of the experience I had with the ordering and price changes, I will not order from this restaurant again.

Food was okay, service was absolutely horrible. Very rude and inconsiderate. Place was almost empty.
