The food was delicious, I had the Alfredo with chicken (The picture is my nieces kid pasta) Though the service was not the best. We got here at 1 pm and were seated 20 minutes later even though it was empty. We finally finished around 3: 40 pm. The host was awesome and kind to us though

Very interesting visit to Johnny Carino’s, staff was good but they were very overwhelmed at one point our single server had what looked like six tables. They’ve got a new apple bees mixed with olive garden menu at least new since I last was here. The food was average but overpriced for what we got, my barbecue burger came out plane and no barbecue with side of fries that looked sad the taste reminded me of a frozen store burger. We also got the Italian nachos those were surprisingly nice. My fiancée got a pasta dish that was a very small portion for the price.
It’s sad Johnny Carino’s used to be a nice Italian restaurant now it’s dated and struggling to focus on an area to do well in. Overall, the only thing that stands out was cheap ai generated looking art on a table piece and how rude the customers seated around us were.
Shoutout to our server she was an incredibly sweet older lady who was doing her best rushing around dealing with the incredibly picky people sat around us.

Second visit and the last. There was only two other patrons there when we arrived, the entire seating area was empty and we were seated at the same crappy table we were seated first time, which was at the end of the bar looking at cluttered cleaning supplies, boxes and other items that one should have to be near trying to have a nice dining experience. The bartender was our server, took forever to get our drinks and when it was time for a refill, she passed our table 4 times and when I finally recieved my drink, it was wrong. Never again! I won’t be ging it a third chance

We had our hearts set on going to a different Italian restaurant but we couldn’t get a parking place. We decided to go to Johnny Carino’s at Hamburg. I thought it strange that the parking lot was almost empty especially for a Saturday. Usually if you don’t see a crowd on a Saturday evening it means something is wrong with either the food, the service or the atmosphere. Or maybe someone gave them a bad review and they hadn’t recovered.
This was my experience on Saturday June 28. Obviously we got a seat right away. The waitress come to our table immediately. We ordered drinks and the Fried Ravioli. We got our drinks and we he appetizer quick. It was very good. For our entree I ordered the Fettuccine with chicken and my wife had the Baked Cheese Tortellini. The waitress was efficient and our meals arrived hot. Both of our meals were excellent. Shout out to the waitress – she did a great job. I’m not sure if by they were not busy on this Saturday evening but I’m very happy with our restaurant choice.

This place was just alright. A little below average for what we were looking for. The food was on the same level as a middle tier Italian restaurant. I had my expectations set high and was slightly disappointed….

Just happen to see this restaurant as I was divining by. I thought I would try it out.
The store was super clean, the music was nice on the ears, and the restaurant smelled appetizing.
I had the appetizer sampler and it was delicious, the kitchen staff really knows what they are doing.
The host and waitress were very welcoming and attentive. I will definitely be coming back.

I used to frequently have lunch here but it had been a while. I do not recall their lunch menu being so limited. Ordered a half chicken club sandwich and unlimited house salad. They only had 3 salad dressings (ranch. Italian and blue cheese) and they salad was at best mediocre. Almost no shredded cheese and maybe 4 croutons. The sandwich was too dry to eat and had to wait a long time for additional mayonnaise. Also, with almost no other customers there, the service was very slow. As for atmosphere, we were shown to a booth in the back corner of the bar with a lovely view of a cluttered bar full of dirty glasses and a back corner stacked with brooms and dustpans, as sown in the photos. I wouldn’t even recommend this restaurant to an enemy.

Although our food was good (mostly), our bad experience began when we walked in the door. For one, they were not busy at all. I bet there were only 10 tables sat in the entire restaurant. My family of five stood at the hostess stand for every bit of 4-5 min. before the hostess finally started walking in our direction but at a snail’s pace. We then sat down at our table where we waited for every bit of 10 minutes before our server finally showed up to take our order. Let me put it this way: we were ready to order our cocktails, our appetizers, and our meals by the time we met our server. We then waited for nine minutes (the former server, bartender, and restaurant manager in me was actually timing everything at this point) before getting our drinks (2 cocktails that had ZERO alcohol in them) and three fountain drinks. My husband ordered a Diet Coke but had to get a sweet tea because the Diet Coke wasn’t working, and sweet tea is the only other drink he liked. Everyone liked their meal, aside from my husband. When you spend over $200 for a dinner, we expect a lot more than what we had.
To make things even worse, that restaurant is FILTHY. The ceilings were disgusting by the air vents around our table, pieces of food from previous guests were on the floor by our table, and there was a large party table next to us that sat un-bussed for the entirety of our dinner.
When our check was presented to us, it was wrong. So, we had to wait 4-5 minutes before getting the correct one.
Last complaint: the restaurant was absolutely freezing, and it was obvious people were cold!
I remember when Carino’s was a great restaurant, but its heyday is most definitely over. Peace out, Carino’s; this was our last trip. And next time, my daughter doesn’t pick the restaurant. ✌️

From the moment we walked in until we walked out, everything was top notch. We were seated immediately, served drinks soon after we ordered, and had some of the best lasagna we ever tasted. To top it off, Hollywood our waiter was the bomb. Only regret is we don’t live in Lexington. PS, don’t forget about the tarismasou for dessert.

We are done. Their promos will go in the trash going forward. The lack of actual heat in the building is pathetic when it’s 37 degrees out. We didn’t take off our winter coats because it was so cold and we shivered the entire time. The food was sub par. The kids pizza is so sad! How can anyone justify the cost! And $4.00 for a soda?!?
