This is the best sushi I’ve had in a long time!! Delicious, with beautifully presented dishes. They even gave us a complimentary (super yummy) pineapple boat for dessert. Can’t wait to have their sashimi and mango rolls again

Price: Very fair. You are getting all that and then some.

What a surprise tonight. It doesn’t look like anything fancy from walking up and it’s under attended which is why I’m writing this post. Better sushi than I have had before. Large well selected pieces of sashimi ( double the size of other places) presentation is gorgeous and the prices are reasonable. I feel bad for all the people across eating pub food and beer, but we are annoying their music and laughter from the outdoor patio seating. Then the pineapple boat was way better than any ice cream or desert I would have chosen. I recommend coming here. I will choose this over other sushi options going forward.

Good food and fast service. Asked them to make my sesame chicken mild and they did. Very good food!

The kids were in the mood for hot soup and we decided to go to twin dragon but for some reason they were closed!! So decided to search for other Asian restaurants and we found this one. Decided to go here. It’s located in a cute location. As we entered we were greeted by friendly staff. We were the only customers there because we went at 2pm!! We did the lunch special. I was shocked that we could choose our own starters!!! I mean every Asian restaurant I have been to they give egg roll as a starter with lunch specials!! Here I could choose from 6-7 different starters of which 3 where sushi!! We ordered hot and sour soup for each entree and we ordered as starters for each entree crab cheese wonton and California roll. The entrees we order were kung pao shrimp, sweet and sour chicken, Mongolian beef and chicken fried rice. They were all lunch portions but it seemed like dinner portions!! The food was soooo yummy and well prepared. The presentation of each dish was also very nice. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend this place to anyone.

John Holly’s is a snug restaurant that carries a nice variety of Asian cuisine including some great pad Thai, pricy sushi rolls, my beloved Singapore noodles, lo mein, and a sashimi poke bowl that was delightful. They also carry Peking duck and Mongolian beef.

I just got takeout so I can’t speak to the restaurant itself, but this is exactly what I want when I order hot and sour soup. The soup dumplings and pork buns were awesome, I bet they’re better in person

Absolutely unacceptable behavior from the delivery driver. He couldn’t even manage to actually bring my food to the door so i sent my boyfriend downstairs to the lobby. I paid with Apple Pay through the website when placing the order which never asked for me to leave a tip option and unfortunately I don’t carry cash, i even tried to go back and edit my order after my email confirmation but couldn’t add a tip afterwards. The delivery driver wouldn’t hand over our food until we tipped him. So my boyfriend came back upstairs, and luckily we had a few dollars in quarters to give him something and he FOLLOWED MY BOYFRIEND four floors up and waited at the door unwilling to give us our food. When we tried to give him a tip he got mad and denied the tip altogether because it was in coins. Never ordering from here again. I worked in the service industry for ten years. I fully intended to leave a tip with my card but mistakenly maybe skipped past it. But certainly this is not the way to earn a tip anyways. Tips are extra gratitude. Not a requirement for me to get my food that I paid for. I am LIVID at this exchange.

Decided to give this place another try, but they were closed to the public during their advertised business hours. Asked us to come back in an hour. We are hungry now, not in an hour. It took us 2 years to come back after the bad food and service last time. So I guess we may try in another 2!

The John Holly’s Wonton Soup is AMAZING. Granted, it’s more of a vegetable soup that actual wonton soup, but I LOVE it. The egg rolls leave something to be desired though. I definitely wasn’t a huge fan of those. The service is quick and convenient for me at lunch time when I’m at work.
