A small town bar with an amazing staff. We are not locals but still felt welcomed and apart of the group. Greeted with hellos and given the special of the day. Quick and polite service. There is live music on certain nights. Would recommend coming here with friends and enjoying a fun evening!!

A really cool spot to hangout, a great ending to my girls night out! The bar tender was attentive and the atmosphere is welcoming. Tried a new beer as well, as the bartender said “It’s like a Blue Moon but better”, I’m converted, haha. Really great place

Not a very diverse crowd at all. You can tell you’re at a hole-in-the-wall in Southern Illinois. Owner was loud and obnoxious but bartender was great. Think we’ll stick to Carbondale when we visit.

This is pretty much the best American bar at which I’ve ever had a beer. Located on a cool little square in a small southern illinois town the patrons are friendly and the bartender on point. The craft beer is served perfectly (cold glass, well-poured) and there are $1.50 PBR pints! There’s a stage in the corner (so presumably live music at times), several well placed TVs, and a wide selection of draft, bottles, liquors and wine. It truly is a unique place and fun place to visit. I’ve been to a lot of bars in 6 of 7 continents and this is one of the best. I’m not sure how they did it, but I’m impressed and can’t wait to visit again.

As a man named John Brown, this bar gets 5 stars. The owner was very nice and the drink prices are very reasonable. Just visiting for the weekend, but I’m sure I’ll be back next time!

I’m never disappointed when I take that 45 mile road trip to see bands at this cozy little bar on Marion’s square. Very up close indeed and great sound!!! Bartenders are AMAZING too!!!

John does a great job welcoming new and returning guests to his establishment. Craft beer options are on point. They have live bands, and solo artists performing all the time! If you enjoy bloody marys, JBOTS has their own bloody mary bar once or twice a month. I love how the staff, call you by name as a returning guest. John, Derek and the staff do an amazing job running one of the best establishments in Southern Illinois!!!!!
