Had to write this as I sit here. Based on what I am reading, this place reopened yesterday. It smells so good in here. The blue cheese, the Frisco sauce, the smells mmmmmmmmm I feel super fortunate I made it here to be able to try this place.

Family of 4 stopped for dinner. The service was fast and friendly. Everyone commented on how much they loved their order! Only bummer was they wouldn’t share their homemade pickle recipe with me. The pickles are to die for! We will definitely be back.

The tavern part of this restaurant was closed so ate in the Restaurant area. The atmosphere reminded me of a care home dining room. the wine selection consisted of red or white. We started with three appetizers, firecracker shrimp, chili, con, queso, and mussels. The fire cracker shrimp were tasty if small and you get four for $14. The chili con queso was likely some packaged food that came from a local food chain, completely uninspired, and just plain boring. Lastly, the muscles were delicious. I’m sure the red wine came out of a box. After that rather disheartening experience, we didn’t bother ordering any mains but walked across the parking lot to Izzy‘s for some pizza.

We were just passing thru town when my husband overheard some cashiers talk about how Algoma has great chocolate cake so we decided to grab some lunch here. The food was delicious! My husband had chicken fingers and Mac’N Cheese. He said the chicken was really good but the mac’n cheese could have had a stronger cheese flavor. It was still good though. I had the Pork, Tomato and Lettuce sandwich with waffle fries. The sandwich was so good! The fries were fresh with a bit of cheese on them and a sour cream dipping sauce. The menu on the reviews must be from the previous restaurant because the menus we were given had fish tacos, lobster mac’n cheese and gourmet burgers.

Extremely good food and hospitality. Walleye sandwich, bison burgers, steaks and smoked wings are my favorite foods so far, but would prefer walleye on wheat instead of white bread. Smoked wings are second to none very tasty and the right size. With the ambiance this restaurant has potential of becoming the best in Warroad.
