If I could give this a 20 out of 5 stars, I would. We’re passing through and spending Valentines night in Columbia and were looking for something different…we found it!

The atmosphere here is great…welcoming and warm and the smell is awesome. The staff were amazing and helpful.

Lamb Vindaloo is my typical go-to, which is what my wife chose, but I decided to try the Chicken 65 Biryani, along with Naan. We finished our meal with Rasmalai, which was perfect to round out the meal.

The flavor and portion sizes blew us away. This is simply the best food we’ve had in years

We’re likely to stop at J&Js every time we pass through from this point forward. To the owners and staff: Thank you for an amazing experience and for taking such good care of us!!

We’re originally from Florida and were driving back from Tennessee when hunger hit hard. After a quick Google search, we decided to stop at this restaurant—and it turned out to be the perfect choice.

There were five of us, and as soon as we walked in, the owner warmly welcomed us, seated us right away, and brought us water. The interior décor is minimal yet gorgeous, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. Bollywood music was playing on the TV, which really lifted the mood. The place smelled amazing, and even the bathroom was spotless—always a great sign.

We ordered chicken tikka masala, masala dosa, chicken 65, and paneer makhani with garlic naan. The portion sizes were huge, and everything tasted absolutely delicious. I especially loved the mango lassi—it was refreshing and perfectly made.

Sometimes when you’re searching for coal, you end up finding gold—this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. I highly recommend trying their food; you won’t be disappointed. If I ever pass through this area again, I’ll definitely stop by. Excellent food, wonderful host, and a great restaurant overall.

Listen!!! We had Indian beer lamb appetizers goat and chicken… 10/10. Delicious flavors and the most important (for me) is they asked about spice level preference and DELIVERED! There was Indian MTV on the TV, all bops & the chef came to the table to chat with us. First timer but I will be back to try all of the dishes one by one!!!

Great meal, huge portions. I got the Garlic Masala Dosa and it was huge, the biggest dosa I’ve ever had. I asked for it to be as light on the oil as possible and it seemed to be, which I appreciate. I don’t think that garlic masala dosa is something I’ve ever seen on a menu before. I also got Parchamal Dal, one of my new favorites. It had a very nice taste and seemed pretty healthy. Very good. Even the basmati rice had that great flavor. I tried the sweet paan after my meal, a first for me. The paan was very interesting to me but enjoyable and I’d order it again. I had asked for raita to go with my meal and the man said he was going to give me some and even give it to me on the house, since it was my first time dining there. Unfortunately he failed to keep his promise and I never got my raita.
When I first sat down, the very nice owner greeted me with a bottle of water and the menus. One would have thought that a bottle of water brought to you when you sat down would have been complimentary, like I’ve had a few times at other restaurants. I was very surprised to see a charge of $1.99 for the bottle on my bill. I did question this and he was quick to remove the change, which makes me feel like this might be a complaint that he has heard in the past.
For his success, I hope that he discontinues doing this.
I’ll be back for sure.

I had an amazing experience at J and J Biryani and Curry! The food was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. I tried the Chicken 65 Biryani and it was absolutely delicious—the rice was fragrant, the spices were balanced just right, and the chicken was tender with that perfect kick of heat.
The Pompano Fish Fry was another standout—crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside, with seasoning that really hit the mark. You can tell everything was made fresh with a lot of care.
The staff was warm and attentive, and the overall vibe made the meal even more enjoyable. Definitely one of the best spots for authentic and satisfying Indian food. I’ll be coming back soon to try more dishes!

We had dinner at this hidden gem of an authentic Indian restaurant and it was such a pleasant surprise. From the cozy atmosphere and beautiful décor to the excellent cleanliness of every space including the restrooms everything made a very positive impression on us.

The food was absolutely delicious, a true explosion of flavors in every bite. We enjoyed medium-spice curry with their famous naan, a soft and freshly baked leavened bread, along with Jeera Rice, chicken, house curry chicken each served with a generous portion of rice and creamy curry shrimp, which was a real delight. Everything was carefully prepared and beautifully presented.

The service from Mr. Sabi was excellent. He was very kind and gave wonderful recommendations.

We highly recommend this exquisite cuisine and restaurant. We give it a 10 out of 10! We will definitely be back.

I’ve had their food about 4 times and I haven’t had any problems at all! I always get the butter chicken and garlic nan with white rice ! And it’s always good. The flavor in the butter chicken is so good!!!! I always choose the low heat because I don’t like spicy . Checkout customer service is always good as well!

Just left J&J’s Curry and Biryani and I had to leave a review. The food was absolutely amazing. The chicken curry was hands down one of the best I’ve had perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and cooked just right. Every bite was on point.

The service was just as good. Staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out fresh and hot. You can tell they really care about their customers.

And the owner is amazing super welcoming and genuinely appreciative. That kind of hospitality makes a huge difference.

If you’re in the south carolina area and craving authentic Indian food, this spot is a must. I’ll definitely be back.

I recently ordered from JJ’s, an Indian spot known for its vibrant flavors. I tried the chicken vindaloo and chicken biryani, both of which had delicious spice and aroma. However, I was a bit disappointed by the portion sizes—the chicken portions were pretty small, so after eating I was still a bit hungry. The order came fast and service was friendly—just wish the portions matched the flavor! Won’t be ordering from here again.
