This is your must stop breakfast location in the French Quarter. The food was delicious, the service was delivered with the pride and dedication of the “born and raised” owner, the food was outstanding, and I loved the atmosphere. I ate too much and lingered over my never empty coffee cup. If you wear a smile, tell them my review pulled you in.

Great local spot for some new orleans breakfast. Food was tasty and loved the mimosas. So nice had to go twice.

What a fantastic little gem in New Orleans! The 3 meat omelette was delicious, and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly every time (7 poached eggs on Benedict’s different ways over 2 days between us, and every one of them was perfect)! Spaghetti’s service was excellent (Stephanie), and the food was excellent, as already mentioned. Coffee was good (smooth and not at all bitter), and my wife says her hot green tea was the best she’s had anywhere on this trip! If we’re ever back in New Orleans, this will be right at the top of the list of our places to visit again!

We came early for breakfast to avoid the lines and were seated promptly. Diesel was fantastic and answered any questions we had about the menu or drinks. She made us feel at home and was friendly joking around with us and making sure we had everything we needed during our meal. The food and drinks were great and the vibe of the entire place was fun. Spaghetti was also working and contributed alot to the fun atmosphere making diners feel at ease. When in NOLA be sure to check it out. Very cute cozy space.

Lovely little casual eatery. We had our breakfast here and really liked it. We ordered the 2 egg breakfast, the seafood and spinach omelette and orea French toast.
Everything tasted great and the service was super too.

The monte cristo French toast was amazing! And possibly the best breakfast potatoes I’ve ever had!

If you’re in New Orleans and looking for an incredible breakfast spot, Jimmy J’s is an absolute must! From the moment we walked in, we felt the warm and inviting energy of this gem. Our server, Disel, was fantastic—polite, friendly, and incredibly attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.

Now, let’s talk about the food—every single bite was pure bliss! We ordered the Western Omelet, Breakfast Burrito, and Cheese Grits, and they did not disappoint. The omelet was perfectly fluffy and packed with flavor, the burrito was hearty and smothered in delicious sauce, and the cheese grits were the definition of Southern comfort. But the home fries—oh wow! They were so flavorful and crispy that we didn’t even think about reaching for the ketchup.

To top it all off, we sipped on Peach Long Island, Hurricane, and Sweet Tea—a perfect blend of refreshing and bold flavors that complemented our meal beautifully.

Jimmy J’s captures the true essence of NOLA hospitality and flavor. If you’re in town, do yourself a favor and check them out. Five stars all the way!

I stopped in for a quick cheesy shrimp omelette. I don’t know what I was expecting, but I really thought it would have more flavor. It tasted exactly like it sounds. I just thought there would be some New Orleans zip to it for some reason. The waitress was really cool. They accidentally sent my food to a different customer, so it took a while longer, but that didn’t matter. I ate out on the street. That was cool. The next time I’m in New Orleans, I will give this place a second try and try something else.
