I just wanted to give kudos to the young man that was running the store on the evening of 1/8/2026. I wasn’t able to catch his name, but it seemed he was working the store all by himself it. The store was busy with lots of customers coming into the store, as well as the drive-through. I did have to wait a little bit longer than normal for my food. However, I understood and I can appreciate this young man’s hard work. He was kind to me and the quality of my sandwich was not affected despite him being the only one working and being busy. I just wanted to give him a shout out as I feel sometimes we forget to give praise where praise is due.

Sandwich was pretty good, but delivery service not so much. I don’t know if it took a while or it was just sitting on my doorstep for a while, since they never rang the doorbell (JJs delivery, not 3rd party). A simple courtesy to let someone know their food has arrived.

Michael was the drive thru worker. Extremely dismissive and cut off every sentence I said and was not exactly polite about it. Waited 10 minutes for our food but over heard him cutting off and dismissing others trying to order as well, the whole time. Not coming back to this location.

Drive thru employee was an older man has no customer service abilities, he was extremely dismissive and rude. We went to order 4 sandwiches but were only able to order 3 because after each sandwich he tried to close out the sale. After two sandwiches I informed him we have 2 more, after the 3rd he told us our total and told us to go to the window. My husband was frustrated and didn’t correct him, leaving us to get him food elsewhere. We did not get a receipt either. Im sure the sandwiches are good but if I could have given a zero for customer service I would have.

Called for a delivery order and after waiting about 40 minutes, our driver arrived with a car full of cigarette smoke leaving our entire bag of food tasting and smelling of cigarette smoke. Highly repulsed and displeased.

Update: My wife ran in to grab a couple sandwiches today (a couple weeks after my original review) and the dude who was barking and snapping off on everyone when I was there, yelled at her as she walked in the door “BE WITH YOU IN A MINUTE!!!!” After he took her order, she went to the restroom because pregnant women pee a lot, and when she came out, he yelled “ITS ON THE COUNTER!” so she went up front and didn’t see the food, the guy yelled “THE COUNTER!!!!! WHERE YOU PICK UP YA FOOD!!!” And gestured with annoyance towards the back of the store.

When I walked in, a lady was ordering sandwiches and the older man wearing aviator sunglasses that was ringing her order up was just a total jerk. When the lady would start ordering her sandwich the man (my receipt says his name Stephen) would bark Into his mic “it’s gonna be a minute! I’m HELPING someone in the store!” then to the lady “do you KNOOOW what you want?! (LOUD sigh) why don’t you just look at the menu, I’ll take some orders” and walked away.
Stephen was a JERK to the customers at the window, he was a JERK to the customers at the speaker, and when he came back, the lady finished her order. He asked “DRINKS? CHIPS??” The lady looks at the chips and Stephen Barks at her “I DONT NEED TO KNOW WHICH ONES! JUST HOW MANY!!” And to the mic “I’m Helping someone Inside! It’s going to be a bit!” Takes the lady’s payment, gives the drinks and yells something (for whatever reason, I can’t recall exactly what it was) at the gal who came in behind me, who quietly says to me “nothing more itialian than getting yelled at when you walk in the door huh?”
The man in front of me steps up to the counter and before he can speak, Stephen yells out, right in front of the dude “I CAN HELP WHOEVER IS NEXT AND KNOWS WHAT THEY WANT!!!”
Anyways, this carried on the entire time I was there waiting for my food, which was nothing short of 15 mins, and probably pushing 20. You could cut the tension in the place with a butter knife.
The other staff were great. If course, no one was talking or smiling or having any fun and I can totally see why, but the food was PERFECTION wrapped in paper. Absolutely delicious, very well put together, and packed with the delicious flavor you would expect from Jimmy John’s.
It’s just too bad someone like Stephen works here

I always enjoy coming in for my lunch break when I’m feeling Jimmy John’s. I’m greeted when I ended and the pace to make a sandwich I so fast, when I tell you “freaky fast”, they live up to their slogan! I would say West Fargo is the best due to the location and the staff. Keep up the good fight!
