My husband and I were on Thanksgiving vacation. We drive from Pensacola FL, to visit family. We stopped in for lunch, as my husband grew up near the restaurant. It was a nice stop and a wonderfully delicious meal. I was curious about all the photos on the wall. Alot of Super Stars loved this placed also. And the owner is still the same person that has owned it for Alot of years, and waited on us. Definitely worth a stop!

It’s my first time to Memphis, I was hoping for dry rubbed Smokey BBQ. Everything was covered in BBQ sauce. You couldn’t even really taste the meat. Beef ribs were very tough, pork ribs were tender. The ladies there were very nice and the atmosphere was about what I expected for a Memphis BBQ joint.

Saw an episode of Jim Neely’s Interstate BBQ on the Food Network and made it a destination on our travels. We have been back twice now. The ribs are outstanding. So is the fried bolgna sandwich. Greens, potato salad, beans, and smoked sausage are all legendarily delicious. An absolute destination while in Memphis.

Located on the outskirts of Memphis this is know for old school BBQ. It was Monday when we went so not very busy at all, we got seats right away. Our waitress was kind and helpful. We had their Pulled Pork Sandwich which is offered on its own or with French Fries but to be honest we never touched the Fries because the sandwich was huge. We tried their famous BBQ Spaghetti only one way to describe this, it’s divine. My husband had their Pork Ribs and BBQ Beans, both very good but the sauce was a bit sweet for us. Very casual restaurant which probably could use a freshen up of paint ect but overall we had a good lunch. 8/10.

So sad about this have been wanting to try this place but very disappointed. Got the sampler, ribs were drowning in bbq sauce. Pork ribs were tender but all I could taste was sauce. Chopped brisket and pork were ok but again swimming in sauce. Hot link was bland and not hot at all. I love bbq baked beans. But these were sooooo heavy with Brown sugar they were almost gritty

If I could give negative stars, I would. There are so many terrible things about our experience here, but I’ll start with the worst one. THEY SOLD US ROTTEN MEAT. You read that right. We paid $35 for a slab of beef ribs that smelled of ROT at the first bite. I mean, it’s like they pulled them out of the dumpster to put in our box. After that, we were too scared to eat the potato salad or coleslaw because if you sell rotten meat, there is no way you keep cold things at the appropriate temp.
To start, we arrived at this wretched place after google suggested it for Memphis bbq while we spent 1.5 hours in traffic because Memphis decided to close a major interstate for construction on a major travel day (eclipse).
Upon our arrival at 8:57pm, we found the dining room closed. Upon inquiry, the man at the counter told us they were closing in 2 minutes. When I advised that Google (and their own door) indicated a later closing time, he said he didn’t care what Google said. That should have been our first clue to find somewhere else to eat, but we didn’t want to delay our travel any further as we had been on the road for 24+ hours already. My family ordered a slab of pork ribs, a slab of beef ribs, and a pound of brisket. EVERY SINGLE MEAT WAS BOILED. There was no indication of smoking anywhere, neither in color nor flavor. The man indicated they did not sell the point end of the brisket, and that should have been our second red flag to leave. The brisket was thin sliced and bland.
They only have 2 sauces, and both were bland. The fries had no seasoning, not even salt. My ten yo didn’t even want them. The coleslaw was yellow. We wouldn’t even try it after tasting the spoiled ribs.
My family spent $95 on food that we could not even eat. If you will sell spoiled, rotten meat, you cannot be trusted. We left the entire meal there on their table like the trash it was. Truly disgusting. We couldn’t even complain because the employees left right after handing us our food.
The service was terrible. The food was terrible. Honestly, the entire city was terrible. So, I doubt I’ll ever come back; but, if I do, I definitely would not come here.
I had better food at a roadside diner in backwoods Arkansas.

I randomly picked a place to BBQ place to eat. The food was great. I can see why there was a constant flow of customers. No complaints at all. The food was not expensive either. I got the Sampler Platter and my wife order rib tips (they were the biggest we’ve ever seen). The waitress, I think her name is Stephanie, was awesome. The pictures on the wall tell a story and I loved seeing the history in the pictures.

The only thing good was the potato salad. You know the meat is bad when the sauce tastes worse when you put it on the meat then eat it. Also, had to ask for extra sauce.

I placed an order via DoorDash, however the store explains that they do not accept DoorDash orders but somehow mysteriously setup to take orders via the DoorDash site. I called to inquire about the order for accuracy and was met with SUCH a terrible attitude from the manager by the name of Lisa which was probably not her real name. I have gone to this location for years, I remember when the dad was still working there. The customer service is and has always been terrible. We had some out of town quest in the office who heard about them and wanted to try them out, but the way I was treated on the phone we just canceled the whole order. Do not shop with them, they have VERY POOR customer service skills and the meat is oven baked!
