It was my first time going to this establishment. The store had everything I could ever want in a tropical market/meat market. The food was delicious. I went there for the mofongo. I got the shrimp and stewed chicken one’s. I also grabbed the stewed pork shoulder with the skin along with the stewed chicken gizzards. Yes I have a problem. I can’t get enough ethnic food. The female staff was very friendly and helpful. Yes the fellas was nice also. Haha . Yes I will continue to fox with them. They do deliver. Will test that out next time. Treat your shelf and don’t cheat yourself. Oh yeah they have desserts also. I’m about to go into a food coma. Things have changed since my first visit but I understand with the high cost of food. The scale was in full affect. I will still continue to visit.

They ask what size plates but then only add rice and beans to it. Put meat in different plate and get charged by the weight. Complete scam. And if you don’t know Spanish they just scam you more when buying hot food. And make yu feel like you have to buy it. I speak Spanish and helped my friend from it but to think about others. The food and customer service was excellent. But the only thing that bothers me is i paid for 2 $10 plates thinking it includes the rice and meat but when i go to check out it came to $45 so when i asked the lady she said it’s $10 for the plate of just rice and another $10 for the meat!! I love the food but i will not be returning due to any other spanish spot its $10 for rice and meat not separate

Good selection of meats and groceries. Place has improved quite a lot since ownership changed a few years ago when this store was frankly, a dump. My only complaint is that some of the items, such as toilet paper and paper towels, are stacked so high (almost to the ceiling) that it makes it difficult, if not sometimes impossible, for the average shopper to get a roll without risking the entire stack coming down. One other thing is not all the items have price tags. It would be much easier for the customer to see the prices of the items to compare to other brands, as opposed to having the cashier ring up the price when you check out. They do have a very decent hot food bar and their sandwiches and cubans are great.

Second time at this location. I went to buy alcapurrias and was very disappointed. Both times the alcapurrias were burnt. I went back in to complain and the woman said sorry. I waited for a new batch and it still was burnt. I just threw them out and went else where. Very disappointing when your in the mood for Spanish food. I hope that they find a new chef to do them. But won’t return again.

This place has the most superior customer service on the planet, even though most of the employees speak very limited English. Their prices are beyond good and they’re always courteous and smiling and very helpful! Whack Walmart, scratch Stop and Shop! I get ALL my meat from JG!
