I had the chance to eat at Jersey Banh Mi. I had came to this place multiple times and both times were excellent. I had gotten the grilled chicken Banh mi which was amazing. Pickled daikon, carrots and cilantro with a five spice seasoned chicken. Fresh and not heavy at all. The other dish was their Bun Thit with grilled pork, It was also a light and delicious plate with vermicelli noodles and a salad. If you have chance definitely pass by.

I’ve tried every single Vietnamese restaurant with Banh Mi around the Historic Downtown area and this place has the best sandwiches. Very sad I don’t live closer to pick up the food or I would order more often. I’ve ordered dozens of times and the food & service has been consistently great. Highly recommend!

I’ve been here twice and will continue to come back. I grew up in Vietnam and I’m always looking for authentic Vietnamese food in the NYC/JC area which in my experience is hard to come by. I’ve LOVED almost everything I’ve tried so far at Jersey Bánh Mì: grilled pork banh mi, nuoc mam wings, Thai iced tea, shrimp summer rolls, and their latest addition: bánh mì chảo (not yet on the menu, but coming very soon!). The bulgogi kimchi cheesesteak bánh mì wasn’t my favorite but that’s mostly because I’m skeptical about fusion dishes, but it wasn’t bad. The baguette used for bánh mì is always hot and crunchy just the way it’s supposed to be. The owner family is sweet and always hard at work. Thank you for bringing authentic Viet flavors to this area of Jersey City!

Hi jersey bahn mi is an amazing space for food and private events, but when coming in with large groups, quality of service dips.
I came in with a group of 10, and I give the staff full flowers for being as accommodating; however, when it came to service it seemed they didn’t have a set system for expo and tickets.
I was 2nd to order my food: classic bahn mi, crispy fish banh mi, bulgogi kimchi cheese fries. I received two items roughly 30 mins after my party waited and was patient.
I fully understand a busy kitchen, and being hit with a rush can throw off staff, but a system is a system for a reason.
I love this place truly and fully support their mission, I just think they kinda dropped the ball with me and I’m slightly disappointed.

Came here yesterday with my friends and we loved the food, the people there are suuuper sweet and friendly, the vibes are very cozy and welcoming. I asked if I was allowed to share some fruits I brought from home with my friends there and the chef was more than happy to allow it. The food is delicious and authentic, no complaints to be found. She also gave us a sneak peak try of her new pandan-coconut waffles. Oh man. It was DELICIOUS! A definite must try if you visit. I would come back just for the waffles if I am in the area again as I don’t know where else to find such delicious waffles of that flavor.
Edit: went back here again yesterday, 4/12/3025, got an extra order of the waffles which tasted AMAZING today when you toast it. This is so friendly and wholesome with delicious entrees too. Definitely worth stopping by here if you’re in the area.

I don’t normally go out of my way to write reviews but had to sing praises for Jersey Banh Mi. The food is so phenomenal!! Casual and laid-back dining with a welcoming atmosphere, dishing out nourishing comfort food. The short rib was tender, juicy, with flavorful aromatics coming thru every bite. The pandan mochi waffle was light, fluffy, and everything you’d look for in the flavor — perfectly subtle earthy and sweet notes. It came with a side of condensed milk and sago toppings which we drizzled shamelessly over every morsel. My only regret was not getting a photo of it! It’s a dish that appears familiar yet striking in its pastel green batter. The eggrolls had a fried exterior that passed the knife-scrape test. Assembling it with the crisp, fresh lettuce wraps & fix-ins that they came with took the crunch to the next level. The kimchi fries were a crowd-pleaser amongst my family. The kimchi brings the perfect punchy and rich flavor to the party without being heavy and are unlike most loaded fries that lose their bite when weighed down by their dressing. My hubby had the classic banh mi that he scarfed down in minutes which speaks for itself. It’s simply good food that I know we’ll being craving over and over and over again.

Great addition to JC! Ordered classic, grilled chix, grilled pork, and tofu bahn mi. All were on point, everything you’d expect, light crispy bread, perfectly cooked meat, fresh cilantro, funk from the pate/pickles, and a little heat to wake up the senses. Family loved them all. Quality ingredients and priced accordingly. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

Best Vietnamese pho!!!! Slightly sweet and seriously addictive. Also love the mains, chicken and pork. Bo kho beef stew was tender and the classic bahn mi was classic as it should be. 🙂 Really love all the food, portions are great, service is friendly, the vibe is modern and clean, when I have guests I bring them here. My top 5 favorite eats in all of Jersey!

I have never been disappointed with a meal I’ve gotten from Jersey Banh Mi. Since they’ve opened at 190 Academy Street – each sandwich, drink, and dish I’ve gotten has been made to order with fresh and crisp veggies, and savory proteins!
Important: This isn’t a dine and dash kind of place. Because it’s made to order be prepared to wait for your order to be custom made for you (it’s worth it; or, order ahead).
While I usually get the grilled chicken banh mi, I tried the Bulgolgi Cheesesteak today and wasn’t disappointed! Definite recommend.
