While staying at the Hotel Retlaw we had dinner at Jazzmine’s Brasserie. The look is completely stunning. Live pianist accompanied by a stand-up base played beautifully. The table setting was gorgeous. Overall atmosphere is lux! I loved it! The staff may need hospitality training to meet the desired appeal of the restaurant. The hostess seems slightly uncomfortable greeting people which does not work for a hostess. The waitress was friendly but very informal. She leaned on our table and used pet names like sweetie. I know this seems nit picky but if the restaurant wants to be taken as a classy place to enjoy gourmet food the staff needs to reflect this.

Great service, great food and drinks, great atmosphere. This place fills Fond du Lac’s need for a more upscale dining experience. Our waitress Sophia was great, the bartender Bryton was fun to talk to, and the pianist was fantastic. Food was prepared, presented, and tasted the best in Fond du Lac. Better than restaurants we’ve been to in Chicago and Madison and without the overly steep prices. Best place to go out for a nice occasion.

Upscale dining experience in downtown Fond du Lac with live music and superb service. Everything we ordered was delicious and excellently crafted. The wine was paired perfectly with our meal (and many more amazing wine, beer and cocktail options were available). We will definitely be returning and recommending it to all our friends.

Absolutely wonderful food! We’ve been here every year for Valentine’s Day for the past three years. Exceptional service and fantastic food! The Sassy Ginger Cocktail and the Love Potion are my new favorite drinks.

We ordered room service twice during our hotel stay. We had a great experience with breakfast. The food was delivered fast, the meal was hot, and we enjoyed the food. But dinner that same night was a disaster. We called twice to place our order and nobody answered; our call was routed to the hotel front desk both times. On the second time, the hotel desk told us they’d have the restaurant call our room to take our order, but that never happened. When we called back and were re-routed to the desk a third time, the desk staff took our order and forwarded it to the kitchen for us. 100+ minutes later, the food finally was delivered. It was lukewarm, we were missing an appetizer, and we were missing 2 drinks. I called down to the restaurant right away. (Finally got through!) They said they’d bring it up right away. 30 minutes later, they showed up. They claimed the front desk staff had never communicated the appetizer, which I’m skepticalof because they repeated the order back to me with no mistakes. Then, they said the drinks had been initially forgotten because we’d ordered Pepsi but they serve Coke. Really? So, instead of calling our room to confirm, you just ignore the drink order? (Also, when I ordered, I said “Pepsi, Coke, or whatever cola you have,” so…) The dinner food was okay but nothing great. Maybe it would have been better if it was hot. We will stay at the hotel again, but we will never order from the restaurant again.

Classy restaurant space in Hotel Retlaw. Nice decor and good ambiance with a live piano player. But most importantly, THANK YOU for providing delicious and thoughtful vegan options on your menu! I had a large, beautiful salad with tons of veggies followed by a sweet potato stuffed with veggies. So difficult to find in this area!! My companions had steak and chicken dishes and theirs were lovely as well. Two big thumbs up

Have dined here several times and found the food and experience delightful but left tonight upset and irritated without dining… We called twice to make reservations on the drive from Ripon and no one answered. Upon arrival at 8:30pm at the restaurant, which was empty, we were asked if we had reservations. We indicated we had called twice in the last hour and no one answered so we didn’t have reservations but wanted to dine as soon as a table was available. The hostess clearly wasn’t listening or was zoned out as she asked what name it was under. I repeated we had called twice and no one answered. She laughed and said no one had called very unprofessionally at which point my wife jumped in and indicated we had called and she witnessed it. The hostess smiled slyly and reiterated no one had called insinuating we were lying while holding the phone aloft shaking it in the air. I hit redial On my cell and the phone was answered by the Retlaw. We were told we were being unprofessional by some of the least professional staff I’ve ever met at a decent hotel. Clearly the hostess needs significant training and some detailed customer service coaching (Or perhaps just to be replaced). Her age and maturity is quite lacking.
