My server was Monica and she was very sweet and attentive. I started with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon then ordered the barbecue bowl with shredded chicken and opted for the spicy barbecue sauce, which was delicious. Just the right amount of sauce on the dish and at the bottom some nicely seasoned creamy mashed potatoes. A lot of shredded chicken! Wonderful flavors and I love the pickles on top! Nice touch. I ordered extra and they were so good. drink prices were very reasonable as well as the food items. Will definitely be back!
They have hot chocolate and a good selection of beers and other drinks.
I’m not giving it five stars because the host is quite disorganized and the women’s restroom was very dirty. I hope they address those issues.
The house made chicharron was amazing. The pulled pork was great, the brisket was thick and tender. The macaroni and cheese (cavatapi noodles are the best,) was thick and cheesy. The pork ribs were perfectly seasoned, sauced, and smoked.
Great sweet potato fries too.
The portions were worth the price.
The food was served in very generous amount and meats were very juicy.
But among everything, they had the best Chicharon I ever had!
There is a sign clearly posted in the restaurant stating “No parties over 10” (I have attached a photo of the sign). We were 9 people total, made up of three separate families, and were completely fine with being seated at multiple tables.
Despite this, we were refused service altogether simply because we initially asked if we could sit together. Even after immediately agreeing to split up, the staff refused to accommodate us in any way. There was no explanation, no attempt to help, just a flat refusal.
What made the situation worse was the staff’s attitude. The waiter was dismissive and unprofessional, and at one point turned away mid-conversation, making it very clear we were not welcome. No alternatives were offered, and we were treated with unnecessary coldness and disrespect.
This was not about group size or policy; it was about how we were treated. The experience felt unfair and uncomfortable, and left all of us shocked and embarrassed.
The treatment felt targeted and deeply unwelcoming.
Our server was so kind and attentive.
We ordered:
Appetizer:
– Loaded Fries 10/10 Amazing
Meals:
-Hot chicken sandwich 10/10 (modified and put on a pretzel bun)
-Brisket 10/10 juicy and delicious
-Pulled pork sandwich 10/10
Would highly recommend making this a stop on your list of places in Big Bear!
