I have been searching for quality oysters near me for a while. These are by far the best oysters I’ve had locally!! The atmosphere is great, the drinks are strong, and the service is friendly. This place has become my new favorite for satisfying my oyster cravings. A charming mirror for pictures in the ladies’ room is always a plus.

There is plenty of parking and easy to find. The one thing I will note is the parking, and lot around the area is not very well lit and there is alot of neighborhood foot traffic at night. We attened the restaurant on a Saturday evening and it wasn’t too busy. The entrance is inviting and I like the way the bar seating is arranged. We were greeted fast and seating was fast as well. The staff was in good spirits and the atmosphere was nice. The coleslaw and red potatoes that are served at the beginning was nice, I am not a big fan of slaw but the potatoes were great. The shrimp cocktail was great and the sauce had some kick. The snow crab legs were great and I enjoyed them. The crab stuffed mushrooms were not a big hit with our group, I think we were expecting the mushrooms to be cooked more, just our preference. The only complaint I had with one of my dishes was the jambalaya, there was two bay leaves in the mix and it was bitter and seasoning level was too much for me. Not a game changer, but I personally won’t order it again. I would come back again and I recommend this spot if your in the area.(the mens bathroom was pretty nasty and it needed some attention when i visited)

Market price crab was good. Outside seating area not quite what I expected. Good for a large group of people. Drinks are made differently from normal expectations but still good. We were not rushed and the service was good.

Road trip to visit our Fort Bragg daughter. Wife wanted oysters and was intrigued by the Google description. We stopped in shortly after they opened on a Sunday. Warm, friendly greetings from all the staff. The place starts to fill up after noon, varying sizes if groups that they easily accommodate and keep up with. We had the crab stuffed mushrooms (sorry no pic, we were salivating too much from the smell to not tuck into them immediately) as an appetizer. Wife had a Bloody Mary (Sunday special btw). I had the Perfect Painkiller. Both adult beverages were tasty and matched well with the food. My wife had a dozen chagrined oysters. I had the 1 pound of shrimp build a boil (Sunday special). Food was perfect and exceeded expectations. My wife felt bold so she did the Quarter Moon Shot Challenge. 4 raw oysters on a saltine with horseradish, black pepper, cocktail sauce, jalapeno slice, and a double dab of Dave’s Insanity Sauce. She soldiered through it and got a captains bell announcement and a free t-shirt. There are 2 more levels to the challenge for better t-shirts (another “shot” per each level) but my wife knows her limits so four it is. A very enjoyable experience overall. I highly recommend.

What a wonderful evening! Although the entire service team worked great, Alana was our fabulous server with great recommendations and wonderful service in addition to her wonderful sense of humor. The food was fabulous. And, don’t miss out on the homemade cakes. We had strawberry, lemon and chocolate. As the sign says, you walk in as strangers and leave as friends! Thanks for a great evening.

My Bride and I enjoyed our anniversary at the Full Moon Oyster Bar. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The service was cheerful and the food was excellent. This was our first time here, but it won’t be our last.
If you enjoy oysters, you will definitely add Full Moon Oyster Bar to your list of restaurants to go to. We enjoyed, “The Full Moon” as our entree. This was a meal for two with Snow Crab, shrimp, scallops, clams and more oysters.
If you are looking for a great recommendation, this is it.

Food was EXCELLENT as always, service was SPECTACULAR had always HOWEVER the bathrooms needed alot of TLC. It is truly a turnoff for restaurants to not keep up their restrooms up to par and consistently check on them when they are open because if the cooks and servers are also using the same bathrooms and then serving customers. customers can wonder how clean are the staff when preparing food items. Maybe having a designated staff to monitor the restrooms or a cleaning log for the rest room to be cleaned every hour with check-ins periodically. It just eas no reason for the restrooms to look like it did, especially the women’s (and we don’t have it as easy as men when using the rest room or when kids are with us).

Monday night oysters were great we each had a dozen. The crab bisque clam chowder mix soup has just the right amount of heat and is highly recommended. We had the seafood risotto. Amazing amounts of lobsters scallops and shrimp but the risotto is more like a soupy grits flavor is great and the seafood is perfectly cooked. But the risotto is not what you would expect. Wanted to try the bread pudding but they only do that on weekends. The crème brûlée has an artificial whipped cream taste to it so that was the only disappointment. One more thing. Bring cash as there’s a 3.5% charge for credit card
