We were thrifting in Broken Arrow and drove by this place – had to stop since I was craving a tasty burger. And yep it was tasty. Get the onion rings too

Many new diner/cafes have opened in Broken Arrow over the last several years. The well-established favorites get overlooked as everyone rushes to the new eateries for a few weeks. Meanwhile the old favorites keep on cranking out delicious food to their loyal customers. Eventually the new gets old, customers sort things out and the strong performers survive. Jake’s Café is still strong, holding the line since 1999. The food is good; as good as any diner/café that I have tried in Broken Arrow. Better than several.
Conveniently located on the NW corner of Aspen and Houston St. The restaurant is on the south end of a row of brick red roofed business suites. Easy to spot. Adequate parking. Inside the restaurant promotes a 50’s theme. Pictures of movie stars relevant to the time cover the walls. Marylin Monroe dominates the space. True diner ambiance.
Seat yourself. Menus are delivered in minutes. Decide on your favorite breakfast while the friendly waitress fetches a drink of your choice. The usual for me. An all-American breakfast combination meal I use to evaluate the cook’s skill. Cooked perfectly along with great service earns 5 stars. Perfection delivered today at Jake’s, 5 stars! My wife spotted a new item on the menu board, “Banana and Pecan Pancakes!” One big one for her that smothered the plate. Thick fluffy, loaded with bananas and pecans and with a side of bacon. Check those pictures.
Comfortable café, fantastic food and excellent friendly service.

On this particular day my friend and I enjoyed lunch. She had never been here, so I was happy to introduce her to this hidden gem. I introduced myself to lunch as I had only enjoyed their breakfast before today.

Jakes cafe was unbelievably delicious. The service was friendly and happy and the food was there hot, fresh and on the table minutes after ordering. My first time eating and Jake’s and it won’t be my last. Giving 4 stars because price was eight and the portions Grande with friendly serves in a 3 star atmosphere. Cute little diner, staff was friendly enough. The food came out in decent time. The food and coffee wasn’t anything special, just your average diner. The hasbrowns were the highlight of the meal.

Stopped in for a late breakfast. Ordered the breakfast . For the price definitely worth it. Came with a side of salsa and sour cream. Ordered the house fries instead of hashbrowns. Potatoes were seasoned well. Nice little short order kitchen. Friendly Fast Service.Support Local.

Not a bad place to eat with the family. Took a little bit of time to get our food. The burgers are of medium size and the chicken strips came out good. We will go back but order something different.
