Service needs work. Let me clarify up front that the bar area if Jake’s is 5 star all the way. They have some clever signature drinks and friendly well trained staff. The dinner area us another story. Food was average to good. Not bad, but not what I would expect from a premium hotel. The staff need some experienced to come in and reset the rhythm. Talking with friends near customer tables. Reading their apple watches. I didn’t know what to make of the water glass cart. Our drinks were served without cocktail napkins. Not their best effort. We were honestly surprised to see some of the negative reviews for Jake’s American Bar at Loews Royal Pacific Resort, because we had a great experience.
This was the first place my husband and I ate after checking in — we needed to take the edge off while waiting for family to arrive — and it delivered. The Asian glazed wings were fabulous. Yes, they’re a bit pricey, but we really enjoyed them and would absolutely order them again. The bartender was friendly, attentive, and made a genuinely delicious spicy margarita.
I ended up returning later in the trip for the ribeye and a glass of red. Coming from NYC, I’m a bit spoiled when it comes to good steak and the value and quality in the city — but for a theme park hotel restaurant, this was a very good steak that hit the spot.
I didn’t get to try them this time, but I was glad to see ribs on the menu and would definitely order those on a future stay.
Overall, it’s a solid, convenient, and enjoyable option right at the hotel. We’d happily go back.

Thanks to TikTok I discovered that their Preztels are a must-have in Orlando.
Phenomenal!! So happy I tried them. Generous portions. Very nice mustard and cheese fondu dipping cups.

We ate here recently against a friends advice. The hot honey sandwich with sweet potato fries was delicious but the downfall came with ribs. No flavor and cooked like it was forgotten. Very dry. The cheese curds tots were very mid. Again seasoning was needed. However, the server was amazing. He recognized that my fiancé didn’t eat his meal and immediately got a manger. We were going to let it go and chop it up to we should have listen to our friend. The manger was very open and encouraged our feed back as she has see an issue with some meals and wanted the information to talk to the chefs and make the improvements. In addition she comped the ribs. We were very thankful and appreciative of her taking the initiative to improve service. Against the server was amazing and very nice. I hope that they are able to improve on their food.

We had really high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately the standard was not great. Service was slow, the food arrived lukewarm and the ribs were extremely fatty. There was no check-back from the server even though the restaurant was mostly empty. The decor was nice but we probably wouldn’t return as there are much better options in the area. Expected more for the price

We went to Jake’s bar during our stay at Royal Pacific for lunch. One would imagine looking at the place which was elegantly designed with attention to detail but when the food arrived it was disappointing. The service was okay and we thought because of lunch hour it could be slow. But the food was not at all flavorful and lacked in finesse. I would not recommend this place for family dine in. They do have a full bar so that was a saving grace out of the whole experience. The food is expensive but not worth the money.

Service was awesome, food was good. Wings were a decent size and buffalo sauce was good, pretzels and beer cheese were delicious. Pasta was not the best, would maybe describe it as basic. Wait time was minimal and drinks were on point. Overall a positive but pricey experience.

We ate twice at Jake’s this trip, They have an outdoor terrace with a waterfall which is just amazing ambience for a meal, so peaceful and relaxing. It’s one of the best restaurant ambiences I’ve experienced. Skyler was our server and he was very friendly, attentive, and also knowledgeable about the theme parks. The first night we ordered off the Islands menu. The second night we ordered off Jake’s menu. My wife and I enjoyed both meals. From the Islands menu the Mongolian beef, chicken fried rice, and flan were all very good. From Jake’s menu, the double burger, pretzel rods, and sweet potato fries were very good too. Everything very good. The ambience outside on the terrace is what really sets this place apart. Dinner with waterfalls and beautiful tropical scenery is just the perfect cap to a good vacation day.

I had dinner service one night and lunch service a separate date. Both days we had absolutely delicious and amazing service. All of the drinks were flavorful and not burned. The beer was cold. The pretzel rods, wings, and burgers were perfect and fresh. Our server Michael for lunch was 5/5. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and provided great service. This restaurant has come so far from the previous years, with a new chef in charge. I would recommend this restaurant/gastro pub to everyone.

We stopped in here for lunch prior to attending the Orlando Informer Meetup on December 8 2023.
We shared pretzel rods, wings, and sweet potato fries. All three items were excellent. The pretzel rods were tender and tasty. The wings were sizeable with a mild Buffalo bite. The sweet potato fries were fried well with a crispy exterior and a tender interior.
The service was a bit slow, especially given how few customers were in the restaurant at the time. We would definitely return and look forward to trying other items on the menu.
