Google reviews led us astray this time. Fri lunch. Arrived at 1. Place was quite empty and got seated immediately. That’s where it ended.
Main salsa was watery, the other 3 salsas were deep in large dishes and were hard to reach and didn’t taste very good anyway. Chips were obviously store bought and tasted dry.
Moving to the drinks, the Margarita and La Jicara were full of sugar. The Jarroti Loco was decent.
Now the food. Presentation was good but food was cold. The chicken on the jaguar plate was skinny and dry. The shrimp was tasty and the carne asada was decent. Barbacoa and chicken quesadilla were decent from what I was told.
Lastly the service. We didn’t get served water. Had to ask for napkins. For being so slow, the drinks and the food came really slow. We were barely checked on during the meal. We ended up not waiting for the check to come and instead just walked up and paid.

This Restaurant is such a hidden gem, the food is absolutely delicious, authentic flavors, great presentation, and a menu with plenty of amazing options to choose from.
Everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor.
Laura was incredibly attentive and made the whole experience even better, she was friendly, always checking in at the right time, and made us feel genuinely welcome.
The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed, you can actually enjoy your meal and have a conversation without feeling rushed. It’s the perfect spot to eat peacefully and just enjoy great Mexican food.
Highly recommend, we’ll definitely be back!

Also, the Jaguar sauce (orange colored one) is our favorite! Love the spice!! If you haven’t been, and you love great Mexican food, please check them out!

Solid mexican spot with good value. Loved the portal, while the tacos and burrito were pretty good. The salsas didnt land with me, but always appreciate the free chips! Would visit again if in the area. Be patient with the staff as we saw only a couple waitresses Saturday night so it did take a little but they were all kind and doing their best.

The buffet was very yummy and well worth the price! There were many breakfast and lunch options. They’ll make fresh chilaquiles and pancakes for you! Also had a little fruit tray and desserts at the end. A drink is also included. Will definitely go back!

The servers definitely need more training. Drinks were delivered to my table 5 minutes before we asked for the check, that’s the only reason the server noticed she didn’t bring them to us. I looked around and 3 other tables were already done eating and still no drinks for them either. Poor service.

Guys I finally found it!! The best mexican restaurant for all of Renton SeaTac, Kent and Tukwila. Jaguar is the best authentic make you feel like you’re eating moms cooking Mexican food! The menu is so good with a great selection of foods and cocktails!

Despite the high quality and authenticity of the dishes, the prices were incredibly reasonable, allowing me to savor multiple items without feeling guilty. I was very satisfied with my experience here today…the restaurant is well laid out and has the perfect feel via decor and music…I’m pretty sure this is a family owned and operated business, which I love. But for the time of day (early afternoon on a weekday) there was only one server…she was very kind but was stretched a little thin between taking care of all the tables as well as the to-go orders…she was almost on point but lost a little for the fact that I was out of water before my meal arrived and it never got filled for the rest of my stay…but the food was outstanding and came out quick and hot. Maybe next time I’ll try visiting a little later in the day when hopefully they have more servers around. I will be back…and I would recommend to others to check them out!!

Come here probably once every couple of weeks when returning home from Seattle to MV and it’s been getting progressively worse. I always order the same thing, a couple of burritos. The last time they got the order wrong and didn’t think to give me a break on the price as I said I would accept it as is. I was tired and just wanted to get home. The tortillas were old and the pico was in desperate need of salt. I used to love this place but now I’m on the search for another burrito shop. It’s too bad as it used to be awesome. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
