I’m Korean so my opinion is more qualified than those of the (probably) white people posting reviews here. Just kidding! JK, Jay to the Kay.

The Japanese food has always been good, but the quality of the Chinese has SERIOUSLY fell off over the years. Most of the meat tastes like grizzle (the fatty parts). When I politely mentioned this to the waitress, the Manager came and made a scene that “No one ever says that” – Yeah, um, okay.

I’m very upset , Not about the quality of food or the service….no no no. I’m upset because I went here for the first time on Sunday Jan1,2017 and I ordered some very good food. The thing is , I found out the same day that THEY ARE GOING TO BE CLOSING THIS WEEK. I said ” Shut the front door you’re joking right” they said ” nope we are retiring after 20 years” Oh heck no someone needs to take over this place

I went to Jade Village with my fiancé after the funeral of our friend’s mother who died of pancreatic cancer. My fiancé wasn’t too hungry as he was upset, so he ordered cucumber rolls and a soda. I suffer with gastroparesis, which means my stomach empties slowly. As such I have to eat 6 small meals a day, and be careful what I eat as i can cause me to vomit or cause extreme gas pain. I ordered my usual: avocado rolls, miso soup, and water. The waitress didn’t say anything to us and left. 10 minutes later, a lady who says she is a manager comes up and says loudly that she will allow us to stay this time, but next time we have to order a minimum of $10 a person or we’re getting kicked out. She said they had a table cloth set out, and they get laundered. People started watching us, which was embarrassing. My fiancé informed the manager that no where on the menu does it say there was a minimum, and if we had been told by the waitress we would have ordered that amount. She said it is not on the menu, but this is still a rule. I informed the lady even if that is the case, I suffer gastroparesis, and am limited in what I can eat and how much as it can cause me extreme pain and to vomit. She told me that was still no excuse. Then she turned to my fiancé and asked him what his excuse. He told her that he was not too hungry after attending his friend’s mom’s funeral, but that he had a right to eat, and to make sure that I was eating. She then walked away. The waitress came out and slammed our food on the table. She then kept coming to us asking if we were done. When we were finally done, she slammed down the bill, and some moist towelettes. Usually there are chocolate mints given with the bill, and others around us had received it, but as they were angry, we didn’t. My fiancé went to the front to complain about how we were treated. The man proceeded to yell they didn’t have the minimum on the menu because it would upset people, but there is a minimum because of table cloth. He also said my gastroparesis is not an excuse. I felt extremely discriminated against. I did not appreciate being told that my health issue was not relevant. If I could eat like a normal person, and get the food I want ( I miss chicken teriyaki, but the sauce on it causes my stomach to be in so much pain) then I totally would.

I order from here all the time and they offer excellent service and food. Occasionally the rice feels a little dry, but other than that they’re a great dinner destination.

Hands down our favorite restaurant. The sushi is incredible. If you prefer a Chinese menu, one half of the restaurant is devoted to it. Also excellent.
