Great atmosphere but you definitely need to make a reservation before going here. Extremely popular spot and super crowded. We had a reservation and still waited 40 minutes for our table. The food was good but nothing to write home about. Just a pricier barbecue place. But I will visit here again!

Had a great time, although we went during peak period so there was a lot of waiting. We ending up sitting at the bar area but it was okay. Had a lovely time and enjoyed my carrot cake. Definitely a nice place to have barbecue if you are ever in Kansas City, I would recommend making reservations if you plan to go during the weekend, so you don’t end up waiting so long:)

Was in KC for a work conference. JS was recommended by a few people. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! I had the Mac and cheese with pulled pork appetizer (nice and cheesy) for my meal; spare ribs, potato salad and baked beans (the beans were delicious, get them!!!)

Overall good service and a nice dining experience. The burnt beef ends, lamb ribs, baked beans, and house salad were absolutely delicious. We also really enjoyed the carrot cake. I was a bit disappointed in the pulled pork Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese was creamy, but the pulled pork was a bit dry and I didn’t care for the sauce. I would not recommend the sausage, which was very dry. We had the salmon dip as an appetizer which was also good. The outdoor dining would be a great option, weather permitting, as the inside is very loud.

I arrived purposely during happy hour and was unfortunately unable to receive it because apparently you can only be seated at the bar for happy hour. I wasn’t interested in any alcohol, so I assumed getting food would be fine, but apparently not. Anyway I ordered a half order of ribs, the cheesy potato bake, and baked beans. The baked beans were probably the best item out of the meal. The ribs were okay, but I would’ve preferred more flavor. The cheesy potato bake just had the potato not so much the cheesy. Last but not least, the baked beans were well-seasoned and very good. The service was well and the atmosphere was pretty lowkey and chill. Oh and good strawberry lemonade

This is pricier if you’re looking for BBQ in Kansas City, but it’s really good. I enjoyed the Salmon Dip for an appetizer and main dish was the Honey-Chipotle Chicken with potato salad and creamy cole slaw.

Probably the best bbq I’ve had in Kansas City so far. The burnt ends appetizer is delicious! It practically melts in your mouth. The beef stew was my 2nd favorite part of the meal. I topped it all off with some beef brisket and pork spare ribs. Make sure you leave room for dessert. The triple chocolate with vanilla was the perfect ending of a great meal with a friendly staff.

3 of us had the beef burnt ends which is what they are known for. Half of our portion was delicious and juicy/amazing but the other half for each of us was burnt hard and dry. We hope it was just an off day. It was our first time there. Our table was in a high foot traffic area by the back door which caused a breeze of hot air every time someone exited.
