Well first off this was our first visit, and right away something I noticed was the servers being very personable but laid back. They knew everyone that was in the restaurant pretty much like they were regulars and the guest as well treated everyone around them the same way. Awesome staff. The food we ordered was good. I had corned beef hash with eggs, my son (19 months) had scrambled eggs, and my wife a vegetarian had a veggie wrap. Everything was tasty, the only criticism was that my wife wished there was a sauce on the wrap but she said it was fresh tasting. Very good restaurant in town, I would say it is a nice family restaraunt/diner.

THE NEW COOK USUES TO MUCH SALT. THE SOUP WAS TOO SALTY. THE TURKEY GRAVY WAS TOO SALTY, THE FRENCH FRIES WERE OVER COOKED. WE USUALLY EAT HERE TWICE A WEEK AND LOVE IT, BUT THE PAST TWO TIMES IT HAS BEEN TO SALTY, I OVERHEARD OTHER CUSTOMERS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SALT, THEY USED TO SERVE WONDERFUL DINNER ROLLS,BUT THEY DONT DO THAT ANYMORE, I WISH THE OLD COOK WAS BACK.

We have been going to JTs for a long time. Lately the food and service has declined. On a Saturday night (5:30) there was one waitress and one bus boy. The cashier sat at the counter on her phone while the waitress ran around serving customers in the dining room. There were about 7 or 8 tables she was serving. And a lot of apologizing for the wait. We were given the specials and early bird menu. We specifically asked for the regular menu. We ordered off the specials menu (seafood scampi) and off the regular menu (croissanwich). We waited and waited. Another couple came in, asked for the regular menu and was told it wasn’t available. The cook was new and was getting used to the menus. Our food finally came. The sandwich was lukewarm. I took more than half home. The seafood scampi looked more like Alfredo. They were out of angel hair and cole slaw. I felt very bad for the waitress. My husband who had the seafood wound up with an upset stomach for 2 days. From what I understand JTs is under new ownership. We will wait a while to return.

Food is always fresh and delicious! We were there June 9th and the place was pretty busy and the waitress had complete control of the situation! She was by herself and kept everyone happy!

Stopped-in to JT’s for breakfast. Waitress Diane was very pleasant. Coffee was good. For me, the quality of the coffee often sets the tone for the rest of the breakfast. My omelet was good. No detractors. The potatoes were not quite home fries though. While good, they seemed like pre made processed reheated frozen French fries shaped like home fries. Waitress Diane was prompt and attentive to make sure we were OK and she made sure our coffee cups were full. Overall, a good place for breakfast and I look forward to going back again.

JT’s, is a wonderful place to eat. Whether you are looking to bring the family or just stopping in for a quick bite. They have great service and food. I love the counter service when I am there alone. I will usually sit there and wait staff is always friendly. When I bring my family, we are always treated well and they always remember the kids and what they like and dislike. I encourage anyone looking for a nice place and fair prices that makes great food to give JT’s a try

There is just something friendly and comforting about going to the diner, especially for breakfast. I would just like to say that our group of 10 or so retired volunteers for ReClam the Bay has adopted JT’s for our weekly gathering and strategy/BS sessions. We get good service, good food and are never rushed or ignored.

Best diner food in ocean county, I can’t believe I haven’t been here before this year, I have been there three time now and will be a regular. Every bite is perfect so far and looking forward to many more. Staff is beyond pleasant, friendly and very attentive. they work as a team to make sure you get everything you want when and how you want it. Have already referred several people and all have came back saying “wow”.
