We are locals and finally tried this place. Some of the food was exceptional whereas other items were good. The no name pie (made by the owner’s 80-year-old sister from what we were told) was absolutely amazing. It was the best we ever had. I wish that lady a very long life so we can come back again and again for her fantastic desserts. She has skills. The smoked pork chop special was like eating a great smoked ham. Very good. The Cole slaw and potatoes were good. The gumbo was good. The red beans and rice with sausage only had one piece of sausage in the whole dish and was just okay. The oysters (southern and J Michaels) were good but I prefer them in the shell because I think it keeps them warmer. Or maybe it was just that the dish they were in wasn’t warmed up. The cheese had solidified and it was not hot or even that warm when we got them. But otherwise they were good.

Great place to bring your catch if deboned and filleted ready to grill. We had a good catch of Red Snapper and brought them here. Delicious is an understatement. Fresh fish plus them being cooked to perfection made it the perfect ending to good day. Pricing is very reasonable. Sides included fries, slaw, fried peppers and onions. Add a draft beer and it just doesn’t get any better.

The service was perfect. We were seated as soon as we walked in. The server was very knowledgeable and informative of the items on the menu. The establishment was clean and no tables had clutter on them in spite of how busy they were. The quality and temperature of the meal was stellar. The ambiance and setting was great and enjoyable. The sports on the TV’s was and the perfect sound level and not so loud it overpowered the conversation. The shotguns hanging from the ceiling was a nice touch too. I will definitely return.

Food was good for the most part. Greens were severely over salted couldn’t even eat them. Was told the j micheals shrimp special was spicy and it was probably the mildest thing on the table. But main complaint was the wait. There was a sign at the hostess stand as soon as you walked in stating no parties over 10 people. And somehow a party of 15 and 17 got sat at the same time and put the place in gridlock. We got there at 7:15 and didn’t even get sat until after 9pm. When we got there we asked the hostess for an estimated wait time. All we got was “it just depends on how long everybody sits but it’s gonna be a while”. Food took over 45 minutes to come out. Just now leaving and it’s 10:25 at night. No complains on the waitress she did the best she could. No reason for the ridiculous wait if they would just abide by their own posted rules. Place is too small to be having two large parties sat at the same time.

Waited about an hour to be seated, but that’s as expected on a busy night so no biggie. We ordered the shrimp and pasta, chicken and pasta, and the key lime pie. All the food was very well made, and everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The chicken was very juicy and tender as well as the shrimp. The sauce on the pasta was like a cajun alfredo sauce and brought the whole dish together. The key-lime pie was the perfect amount of tart and sweet neither side was too overpowering and the crust was soft and flaky. The device however is where this establishment goes partially downhill. The only time we really saw our waitress was when she was taking our order and one other time she decided to check up on us. When she was taking our order, I ordered a Dr Pepper and she failed to let me know that they only had Mr Pibb, which may not seem like a huge deal and really wasn’t; but it could be if someone has an allergy to an ingredient in Pibb. Overall, the food was very good but the service need dramatic improvement.

A must when in PCB. Oysters are always good. Just a cool place to go after long day in beach.

This year I ate there and it was great. This year, the burger was so greasy it soaked the wax paper and even after it was cut in half, when it was lifted up, grease just poured out. I ended up just taking meat off and eating it with fork.

This fun restaurant was recommended by friends. It would be easy to pass by, but it’s definitely worth a stop. We had oysters and shrimp and pasta. Our waitress was lovely and the restaurant has an old school beach restaurant vibe.
